Longer cargo needs enough strap length without giving up tension control. This 16' E-track ratchet strap connects directly to Snap-Loc or standard E-track, while the ratchet takes up slack and the soft loop protects gear at the contact point.
Changing cargo can leave you needing a different tie-down angle from one load to the next. E-track fittings at both ends connect your 16' strap to Snap-Loc anchors or standard E-track (each sold separately), while the ratchet on the fixed 18" lead end cranks out slack and locks your strap tight. Once it's cinched down, your cargo stays restrained at the tension you set.
The built-in loop end can wrap around your gear as a soft tie-down where you don't want a metal fitting at the contact point. Hook-and-loop ties also gather excess webbing after the ratchet is set, keeping the unused length wrapped up instead of hanging loose around your cargo.
Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Snap-Loc E-Track Ratchet Strap Tie-Down So folks, if you're hauling larger cargo in your trailer truck or van, having longer straps like the 16 footer will give you more flexibility to work around different shapes and sizes. So along with that 16 foot, you're gonna have tension control of the ratchet. Now, I did leave this wound up just so you can see what it looks like whenever it is wound up. Both ends have this E-Track connection point on it. Now, this hook and loop, little wind up strap is stitched into the main strap itself.
So keep that in mind when you're unwinding. Sometimes it'll catch back on itself when we don't want it to. And I like to unwind these on the video just to kind of show you it in real life if you were. So sometimes this can get in the way obviously, but again, it is stitched in place. So I do also like that because now when I'm done, it's right there ready to go and I can put all that extra webbing back in here when the time comes and I can roll everything back up when I'm done as well.
So again, basic stuff, ratchet straps. We all know how they work at this time I would think. Loosen it. You're gonna release the spring tension here and here and that'll let the webbing pull back free. And then one other nice feature on this particular strap is you have a looped in.
So this is especially useful if I'm doing something like maybe a motorcycle, ATV, furniture. I don't want metal fittings resting directly against my cargo. I can wrap the loop around my gear, create a soft attachment point, those kind of things. And as I mentioned, both of these heavy duty steel, these are your traditional etrailer or etrailer E-Track connectors spring loaded here to put them in and take them out. And just as an example, I'll give you an image on the screen.
Maybe you want to tie down like a toolbox or something. Obviously, the ratchet's on the other side of the toolbox in that image, but you get the picture right. It's pulling it tight to the side to where it can't move and those kind of things as well. Again, 16 foot long, hardened steel as far as the connection points. Everything's zinc coated, that way you don't have to worry about corrosion or anything like that. The strap itself is two inches wide, 16 feet long. The 4,400 pound brake strength is the overall rating, but what's important is what's called the safe working load limit and that's 1,467 pounds in this particular case. So more than enough to get the job done I'm sure for anything that you're hauling. If not, double it up and get double the strength, you know, overall spread out.
