Say goodbye to the hassle of awkward trailer hookups. With the Tow Ready 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness, you'll enjoy the convenience of a 7-way, blade-style connector right in your truck bed. This setup makes connecting your 5th-wheel or gooseneck trailer quick and easy, whether you're parked at a campsite or loading up at home.
Each truck is unique, and so is this wiring harness. It's custom-made to fit seamlessly into your vehicle, integrating smoothly with the existing factory wiring. There's no need to cut or splice wires, making the installation process straightforward and stress-free.
Worried about losing functionality at the back of your truck? Fear not. This harness allows you to keep using the factory 7-pole connector, so you can have the best of both worlds – the ease of an in-bed connection and the full functionality of your rear truck port.
With a generous 7-foot harness length, this wiring setup reaches comfortably from the rear bumper to the front of your truck bed. No need for extensions or compromises, just plug in and hit the road with confidence, knowing your connections are secure.
If you're working with an aluminum truck bed, this wiring harness comes equipped with aluminum screws to prevent galvanic corrosion – a common issue when different metals mix. This thoughtful addition ensures that the integrity of your truck bed remains intact after installation.
No matter what kind of truck bed you're working with, this harness has got you covered. It includes both steel and aluminum mounting screws, allowing you to choose the best option for your vehicle and ensuring a strong, reliable install every time.
Steel mounting screws are included with this kit as well. If you are mounting this connector in an aluminum bed, discard the steel screws and use only the 4 included aluminum screws for installation.

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look, and installing the tow-ready in bed seven way plug that attaches to your factory seven way. So here we have our plug installed and it's pretty nice. It's got a spring-latched lid here. And that's gonna keep the elements out of there. It's also gonna latch onto our seven-way plug when putting in place.
Now having our plug here in the bed, it's gonna be great for when doing a gooseneck or a 5th wheel because you can run your power here and not have to run it off the back of the truck. It's super easy to install. You are gonna have to drill on the side of your bed, which seems a little scary, but really, you should be able to get this done pretty quickly and you're gonna be plugging into factory harnesses, so there's really no splicing involved. It's just plug and play. Now, this is gonna be an ideal setup for when running your gooseneck or 5th wheels, and that way you can plug directly in your bed, without having to run your wires to the outside of the truck.
So to begin our install, we're actually going to be drilling in a hole. I'm using a 2 1/8 inch hole saw and that's gonna allow us to put our plug in place. So right here and then you wanna check the back side to make sure that there's nothing there. Then we'll go ahead and get a little pilot hole and get going on the hole. So now I'm gonna go back on this hole here and just kind of give it the quick filing down to get some of those burrs off then I'm gonna put a little bit of clear coat there just to keep it from corroding long term.
So now, we're gonna take our two plugs, feed them down through the hole. It's gonna be a little tricky. You may have to kind of stagger those wires to where it'll sit properly. But, once through, lightly feed that in that's gonna leave us with this plug. Now we also have our seven way here.
So this is going to attach to it. We're going to get these holes drilled up. So firstly, let's go ahead and clip this together. Okay. And then make sure that this is facing obviously the proper orientation for the plug. Right about there. And now I'm going to run just tiny little pilot holes in here and we'll get that mounted up. So now we're going to go ahead and get this all cleaned up and then we're gonna head under the vehicle to make our connections happen. So now we have our wires running down from the side of our bed. I'm gonna just kind of feed this over and I'll be able to zip tie to kind of kick this clean. Along with that other looming. So just feed it over the frame, it's gonna be quite and easier if you have your spare tire dropped down, as you're gonna have a little bit more room here to work with it. So pretty simple. We find our plug here that goes to our factory seven way. We're going to go ahead and unplug. And then this is gonna just simply, make those connections and jump it into it. So if you're gonna take the other end. Put that in place. And then this is gonna go where our previous plug was. Now, if you can see, the wires are kind of tight here. So I might actually reroute them a little bit cleaner over here, and that way the wires can reach this way. This wire allows me to pull some of that slack through and we can go ahead and get this all zip tied up later. But let's make sure that we have all our plugs in place and everything nice and clean. So now go ahead, make that connection. Snap this into the factory plug here. So now all that's left to do, is get these wires tucked up. I've gone ahead and zip tied up my wires. We had some supplied ones in the kit. But I opted for a little heavier duty ones that we have here at etrailer. They're a little bit longer and make it easier. But, really as long as it's staying up out of the way of the leaf springs or anything catching it on the road, you should be good. So now that we have everything installed, all this left to do is actually test our light functions. So I'm gonna go ahead and start by doing running lights. Next I'll do, my left turn signal, my right turn signal, and then finally my brakes. And that was the look. The tow ready in bed Seven way plug for your vehicle prep with a seven way already..

Mount this 7-pole connector in your truck bed for quick, simple hookup of your 5th-wheel or gooseneck trailer. Custom harness plugs in-line with existing factory wiring. Included aluminum mounting screws avoid galvanic corrosion in your aluminum bed.The harness was fine. It wasn’t quite too OEM standards but good enough however the zip ties and other things that held the wire in place were substandard to use my own so that’s why I got short four stars. I haven’t used it yet so I won’t be able to tell you how it works until I plug it into my camper
Easy to follow instructions for installation. Hooked up and lights worked great.
Couldn't be anymore happier with the way the installation went all the way til the time I purchased them. Customer service Couldn't get any better.
Fit good and works perfect
Easy install. Hardest part was using the hole saw in my aluminum bed. Snapped right in to the existing connector. I also tested out the connections with a meter to insure all were working.
The first harness i ordered did not fit correctly. This harness fit and functioned perfectly. This harness is a very easy install just be sure there isn’t anything behind where you will make your 2” hole. I almost put it where the frame for the bed wouldn’t have allowed it. As always, etrailer was exceptional, even with the harness I had to return! Thanks
The trailer plug worked great. It plugged into the truck harness and worked well. The truck I put it on is a 2017 F250 Larriet
Excellent service. I purchased from etrailer based off of the step by step video that helped with installation!
Trailer hitch has worked exactly as it should. Could not ask for better performance.
All of the hitch items I orders have been delivered quickly. I will have them installed in a couple of weeks and will add to this review once we open all the boxes and make sure everything is OK.
This installation was easy and only took about a half hour to get it done.. It would have take me 15 minutes if I had known that I should notch the hole for the cord to fit through..
