This cover is composed of 4 layers of non-woven polypropylene fabric to protect the bed of your vehicle from the elements. All 4 layers work together to create a barrier against sun, dirt, and water while also allowing air and humidity to escape so that moisture isn't trapped under the cover.

Four Layers of the Rampage Outdoor Truck Bed Cover

The rugged, spunbond outer layer is naturally water resistant, and it sheds water under normal conditions. The middle layers are constructed of meltblown polypropylene to provide microporous water barriers. If heavy rain forces the cover to absorb a small amount of moisture, the layers will dry quickly by allowing air to circulate through the cover. The inner layer is made of soft, durable material to protect your vehicle's paint.

Video Transcript for Rampage 4-Layer Outdoor Truck Bed Cover Installation - 2001 Ford Ranger

What's going on, everybody Adam here with the etrailer. Today, we have a 2001 Ford Ranger, and we're taking a look at the Rampage four-layer truck bed cover. This is gonna be a four-layer polypropylene cover. That's gonna keep all the dust, all the rain, and everything out. But the nice thing about this is if any moisture does get in it, it's gonna let it slowly come out. So your bed's not gonna be all rusted over.

So if you don't have a tonneau cover, you don't have a camper shell, this is gonna be a great option if you have your truck that's kind of just chilling out by your house or wherever, in the elements, and you're not gonna be using it for awhile. It's just gonna keep all the content nice and safe. I would use this at the farm. We usually have a truck up there with a lot of our equipment and stuff like that. And that's usually what we take, but we're not always out there.

So putting this on before we leave is gonna keep the truck and all the contents inside nice and clean without us having to put a tonneau cover or a camper shell on our truck. Not only is this gonna protect against water and moisture and stuff like that, but also just sun. A lot of the times with some of these plastic pieces on the truck itself, it starts to fade over time. If we wanna preserve the paint, it's gonna preserve that. But everything else on the inside, it's not gonna be hit with that sun and fade over time too.

It really isn't the best fit. It really isn't perfect, but I don't necessarily hate that just because if I do need to grab something out of the back, I can kind of pull this up a little bit and be able to access it without having to completely remove it. It's not super quick, but it's definitely a lot quicker than reinstalling every single time. So I can kind of slide this back, open my stuff up, grab whatever I need, yada, yada, yada, close it up, and then put it back down. So that is one thing I like about it.

Yes, it's not a super tight fit, but there is a benefit for it not being that tight. It also covers our wheels. So I kind of liked that because I spend a lot of time polishing my wheels. Depending on what kind you have, I have aluminum. So they really do oxidize over time. So having this over top of it, it's definitely gonna help a lot. And it does come with a little cable lock. So it goes from one side to the other and then it locks on this end. How theft-proof is this Well, nothing's really theft-proof. There's a lot of smart guys out there just with crazy tools, but this is gonna be a good deterrent. So someone wants to start taking it off, they're gonna see that the cable's locking it in, and then they'll probably run away scared. But it's not a huge lock, but it is there, which is nice that they included it. This is gonna be a great way just to keep everything nice and clean over whatever amount of time you plan on having this on there. It's just nice to have the option to throw a cover on really quick and let it protect all your stuff. It does have a little bit of elastic on the bottom too, so it kind of sucks underneath. So if it is gonna get really windy, it's not really gonna blow away. And if you wanted to complete the setup, we do have some tab covers as well, that you can piece together with this to completely cover your truck and protect all of it. At the end of the day, this is gonna do what a tonneau cover does basically, but we can't drive with this of course, but it's not only gonna keep the inside of the bed of the truck nice and dry and away from all the elements, but also everything else, the wheels, all your paint, and of course, the inside of the bed of your truck. So I definitely think there is some utility here, and this is gonna be a great solution for some of you guys. So if you wanna see us put this on, stick around, we're gonna show you how to do it. We wanna take it out of the bag first. So just toss it to the side for now. And if it's a fresh cover, we're gonna have to undo this, and we can either keep this or throw it away. Now let's get all this straightened out, and we wanna find the bottom side. There we go. So we are gonna have an elastic side on the bottom. So make sure that goes to the bottom and we can kind of get an idea where this thing's instead. It's just by kind of getting it all laid out, where is the top, where is the front, and figure it out that way. The best way to find out which is the front is just finding the tag that says front. So it was gonna go towards the cab of our truck. So let's start with this, and I'm just gonna do my very best to kind of lift it up and throw it on in there. It's gonna be easier with an extra set of hands, but let's just say you're on your own. See if we can get this done. All the way up towards the front, and slowly go back and forth and get everything covered up. We're gonna slide this in between the cab and the bed of our truck. And again, so much easier with somebody else, but it's definitely doable on your own. The elastic really helps so you can stretch it out, kind of push it down. We do have a little bar right here, which is gonna give us a little bit of trouble. So that's something to kind of think about. Once the cover's on the bed, now we have a little cable. This is just gonna kind of tighten it up a little bit. We can lock it. So what you wanna do is go to these little holes and we're gonna open up this little flap, we're gonna send the loop in first, some loop in through. We're gonna squeeze it a little bit, and then we're gonna put this in through that. It's nice and tight. We're gonna throw this underneath the truck bed to see if we can get as close as we can to the other side and make it easy on ourselves. And then just grab the cable, find the other little hole on this side, right here. Go in through the back, put it through the hole. Just like that. And I do have a little padlock that comes with it. A little tiny guy, three different keys, tiny keys. We'll be sure to put these somewhere safe. And then we can just go ahead, put that on there. Now we are locked and ready to go. And that'll do it for our look at the Rampage four-layer truck bed cover on our 2001 Ford Ranger..

2017 Ford F-150 Raptor

I would NOT recommend this product for a 2017 Ford Raptor Crew Cab. The Material and construction are good, but the fit and design have some things I don't like.
FIRST - Recognize that you have to order this cover in 2 parts... one covers only the cab and the other covers only the bed... you must order both parts for a complete truck cover.
SECOND - Both cab and bed covers require you to slide the cover all the way down the gap between the bed and cab... on my truck there is a rubber gasket that makes this challenging and on the passenger side the tire jack well protrudes enough into the bed space as to make it impossible to slide either cab or box cover completely to the bottom of the truck... Installation and removal is a a challenging task... This is not a cover for a daily driver... maybe ok for long term storage.
THIRD - Fit on both covers was not good. The pockets for the mirrors were great, but the cab cover was incredibly tight (even after dealing with item #2) and the bed cover was incredibly loose... I could have had a 6 or 6 1/2 foot bed and it would still cover it (except for not being able to get it over that tire jack protrusion)

So in conclusion I would not recommend this cover in favor of something simpler and better

I waited a long time to purchase a car cover because the last time I priced them, they were pretty expensive. I should have just kept looking. Finding etrailer.com made buying a car cover a reality and much more convenient. I'm the original owner of a 2004 Crossfire and I have babied my car all these years. Then I found myself in a place with no garage. No garage!? The carport provides a little protection for my car, but not like a garage did. However, this car cover is so bitchin' and is made with high-quality materials and workmanship, I couldn't be happier. It feels good to remove the car cover and see how beautifully it's helping to keep my car...well, beautiful.

Great seller. Great prices. Fast shipping. Great communication. Buy from them. Unusual positive in these days of “good enough” to find pro people that are good folks.

by:

Very pleasant transaction, thank you.

by:

When I put in my vehicle it suggested this for my 2006 Sebring Convertible. But it doesn't stay on. It is a little too short so the wind just blows it off. Without some kind of motifications it won't work.

by:

Delivery was prompt, no problems. I have not unpacked the cover as yet. When I do, (early May 2023) I will provide a review and rating.

Costumer Service and Ordering were great and easy. Shipping was satisfactory and my order arrived in a timely manner. I've have one of these Truck Cab Cover's and am about to retire it from service. It has deteriorated over the10 months I've had it and its time to replace it. If you are expecting a different outcome, I would suggest you look for a better quality cover. But personally, it meets my needs at a reasonable cost.

by:

excellent cover at a great price and as always the service at etrailer is always the best

by:

Good cover. Used it on a motorcycle for extra protection from the elements. Material is thick enough to last -- not like some paper thin covers I've purchased for motorcycles. Thanks etrailer.

by:

Same thing happened as did the first. It came apart. The sun reflecting back from the covered windshield glass dissolved the fabric!! Leaving the windshield uncovered and the remaining fabric coming apart. Have not been able to use it.

by:

great cover

by:

Excellent! Product was better than I expected. Very good quality. Would highly recommend. I wanted a cover that protected the cab of my truck. I did not want a cover that went over the bed of my truck. This cover is exactly what I was looking for.

Hello
Order a cab cover and received
it within few days . Actually i found out by receiving an Email from Etrailer saying that my cover has been delivred and i did not know since the rv park never said anything about it.

The cover is quality made, like the color gray and fits my 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis like a glove. The only complaint I have is the storage bag is too small. There is no way I can get it back in rolling it up. Originally it was folded probably by a machine into a square shape. I store it in my old bag.

by:

Car cover doesn’t have mirror pockets, which I prefer, but it is of good quality. Thank you!

by:

Doesn’t properly fit my 2003 Tundra SR5 at mirrors and front bumper. I make it work with straps but it still balloons in wind.

by:

Cover fits great.

by:

This is a well made product but I misunderstood that the product was for "Cabs Only" since the description of the product requested the length of the truck bed

by:

This cover has been on and off my project car and still looks great.

by:

Fast delivery. Good quality cab cover.

by:

Pretty much Fits like a glove. Fabric is thick not flimsy and stitched well and I like the color gray.

by:

This cover was very easy for me to put on my truck. I was concerned about having to burn a hole for my antenna, but using a soldering iron, as you suggested, made it very easy.

by:

As always, great service from etrailer!

by:

Quick delivery, good price. The fit and quality are also good. Thanks
