A flat spot is a section of the tire in which the rubber has become softer or stiffer than the rest of the tire. Flat spots are caused by compression of the tire against a hard surface for an extended period of time - typically 30 days or more. Vehicles that are put in storage or not driven on a regular basis, such as supercars, collectible cars, show cars, seasonal vehicles, and trailers, are at risk for developing flat spots.

When it comes to fighting flat spots, prevention is key, and that is exactly what FlatStoppers' curved surfaces are designed to do. The curved surfaces cradle your tires, allowing more of the bottom surface area of the tires to be supported than if they were parked on the flat ground. Since the tires are better supported by the cradles, weight is more evenly distributed throughout the tires, preventing the compression that causes flat spotting. The cradles on these extra-wide supports are especially helpful in preventing flat spots on high-performance tires that are rated H or higher. These types of tires have a low profile with short side walls and a wide footprint that makes them susceptible to flat spots.
FlatStoppers are also insulated to protect your tires against ground temperature fluctuations that can contribute to flat spots. This means they will not conduct heat or cold into your tires while in storage.
FlatStoppers are made of ultra-strong, solid core, high-density EPS foam that won't crack or bounce. Each FlatStopper supports 1,500 lbs - giving you a total weight capacity of 6,000 lbs for your vehicle. The tire supports are lightweight, weighing no more than 3.5 pounds each, so you can transport and store them with ease.
FlatStoppers are covered with a textured coating and are flat on one side. This keeps them from skidding when you drive up on them. The coating is a hybrid polyurea compound that is resistant to water and other automotive chemicals commonly found around the garage. And although this coating is durable, it will not scratch, mark, or scrape your garage floor or the ground.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Race Ramps FlatStoppers. They're available to fit tires up to 12 inches wide, part number RR-FS, and tires up to 8 inches wide, part number RR-FS-10. FlatStoppers are designed to provide a parking platform for your car or your trailer when storing them for long periods of time. This product prevents your tires from getting flat spots during a longer period of storage, generally a month or more. FlatStoppers are particularly handy for automobile collectors. Whether you have to have the latest model or a classic cruiser, you can protect your tires from getting flat spots. The wider stoppers are ideal for high-performance, high-speed tires with a wide footprint.
These tire supports are also great for classic cars with bias ply tires. The curved surface cradles the tire, supporting the entire bottom of the tire. This distributes the weight evenly rather than in one spot, therefore, no more flat spots. They also protect your tires from fluctuating ground temperatures. Heat and cold temperatures cannot be transferred through the FlatStoppers to your tires. They're made out of an ultra-strong, high-density EPS foam, yet they're incredibly lightweight, easy to transport, and store.

You need to make sure that you're working on a flat, even, level surface.
You also want to make sure there's no dirt, debris, or any rocks, anything that might puncture the ramps. When working with a tandem axle, you need to make sure you have enough room between the tires where your ramp can fit in between. What we can do is just take them and scoot them in place and then we'll set the other one in front. We can repeat the same process for the other side. Now we're ready to pull on.
Remember, we're only driving a few inches, so you want to do it nice and slow. It works just as easy when setting it up for your vehicle. Just put one FlatStoppers in front of each tire. Perfect. That's going to complete our look at the Race Ramps FlatStoppers.

They look real nice and I just put my 70 SS Chevelle (one owner) on them, It was like giving it it's first pair of shoes, I had a pair of slicks on it for quit a long time and just sat in the garage for years, had toss them out because of "flat spotting" I know that these ramps with eliminate my problem with that.................
They worked fine. Tires were on them for a month. No flat spots when I drove off them. They did the job I bought them for.
I plan on using ramps when I leave my car in garage for lengthy time especially in cold winter days as to avoid flat spots or any other issue that may occur when left sitting on hard surface of my garage.

I think the ramps worked just as described and got all my tires off the cement as promised and could not ask for more and would suggest that anyone needed to get your RV tires off the ground take a look at these and they worked great for us....
