Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our Coghlan's folding camp stove here at etrailer. So this is a folding camp stove, which means it's portable, it's foldable and it's great for, let's say emergency purposes, or if you just need something really quick to add to your bag so that you can heat up your food later when you're on a camping trip, or if you're just out on a quick adventure. So the way this works is that this only includes the folding stove. It does not include the fuel, but you can pick that up here at etrailer as well.
I'm using the Coghlan's Camp Heat. We have this already set up and you can see we have our four walls already folded out. So then if you open up this door, just a little tab in a latch, as well as a hinge to bring this out to the side, this is where you put in and take out your fuel source. So you can see here how I'm using the Coghlan's Camp Heat. I have it close by right now, but when we're ready to go, we just light this, slide this in there, and then close the door back up.
Now, when using this, please make sure to take the proper precautions whenever you use fire, or whenever you cook, you do know that you have to use the right fuel as well as have it on a nice level surface, preferably something very well ventilated. Taking a look at our opening, this is going to be basically your burner since this is where your fuel or your heat will come up. So we'll take some measurements of that. So this flower shape, the widest part is going to be four and a quarter inches wide. As for the surface where you can set your pan, your pot, your skillet on, That's going to be a square that is six and three quarter inches large.
When you do get this stove, it will be inside this bag, which is inside this box. Now I don't recommend putting it back into the bag just because this is made of plastic. And if you don't wait long enough, your stove may still be hot and melt that plastic. But I do like this box. I recommend holding onto the box because then it's a very easy way to carry around your stove when it's folded up.
Speaking of that, let's fold the stove up. When taking it apart, make sure that if you did use this, wait for it to cool down. And none of it is still warm to touch. Once everything is cooled down. Also make sure you don't have your heating element on the inside. Then just flip this over, remove it from the tab on the inside and just fold in the walls. So this is a steel construction, which is also coated with this black coat finish. Now this is going to be durable, especially as you heat it up and you have other food on it, but over time you will leave fingerprints on there. You'll spill some oils, will spill food on there, and you will notice that just from the oil, from my fingers, I'm already leaving smudges on the stove. This is a very lightweight stove, especially once it's all folded up and this fits right back into the box, which makes it very easy to store and carry around, you can just pop this right back into your backpack. And then you're ready to go. So you can see how this will be great for emergencies or just an extra source of heat to cook your food, just to keep inside of your RV, your camper, or your backpack. Now Coghlan's has a bunch of different cooking utensils, cooking equipment. They even have a cooking set. You can check them all out here at etrailer. Also, if you want to see this camp heat in action with this stove, I made a video about that on the camp heat product page. You can check that out too. So my final thoughts about this stove is I think it's very compact and lightweight. I can definitely see this being stored inside my vehicle at all times because you never know when you'll need to heat some food up. Now, this is not ideal for if you need to cook food. Let's say you have meat. You have steaks, you have burgers that you need to cook. This probably won't generate enough heat very quickly to cook those foods. But if you have canned beans or if you just want to make a toasted sandwich, I can definitely see this being useful. And that was a look here at our Coghlan's folding camp stove here at etrailer. My name is Evangeline and I hope you enjoyed the journey..
