Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these camp fire roasting sticks. These are a 2 1/2 foot long bamboo stick, you're gonna get 12 of them. This is going to allow you to cook your marshmallows or hot dogs or other food at your camp site while keeping it far enough away from you that you're not gonna have to get too close to the fire where it gets too hot and can burn or just be uncomfortable for you. So the good part of having a bamboo construction is that it's not gonna transfer the heat to your hand, like a metal stick would, because wood doesn't conduct heat like metal does. The bad side is that metal does burn, so it is recommended that you soak the end that's gonna be in the fire in water to try and help decrease how quickly it burns, but it will still likely burn for you, so you will be going through these, unlike your metal alternatives, which will hold up in the fire.

So just an idea there for you of how long these will last. Probably depends on exactly how you use them. If you get them down in the fire, they're gonna burn a lot faster, so I might keep an eye on the little ones. But having that wood construction does kinda feel a lot more natural. So if you're out in the nature and you're enjoying a camp fire, having wood might be a little bit more rustic feeling for you, so it might add a little bit to your adventure.

Just keep in mind that these probably will not be around for a long time as they are used in the fire and burn up, you'll probably wanna use another one the next time and that sort of thing. So overall, 2 1/2 feet long, and right at a 1/4 inch stick, a nice solid bamboo construction, so it is gonna do a good job of helping to roast your marshmallows, get that food nice and hot for you, and you've got plenty here, so even if you have a larger group, these are enough to allow everyone to kinda eat, warm food at the same time, so everyone's happy. So overall, a simple option here for you. We do have more elegant options available, including metal, metal sticks with the hand hold for them, so that it's not transferring that heat to the hand. Some of them collapse, so it's easier to transport and that sort of thing, but this is just a real basic option.

You can see it does have the pointed end on the one side. Can zoom in a little bit better for you, so you can see that. That pointed end, it's gonna make it much easier to get your marshmallows put on there, so just a basic wood stick option for cooking your food while you're out at the campsite.
