Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this PTC custom fit cabin air filter. Our cabin air filter is probably one of those things that you don't often think about, but it is going to be important to switch this out every 12000 to 18000 miles or about once a year, depending on the environment that you live in. If you are on a dusty road or out in the desert, and you're going to have a lot of dust, might want to change this out more frequently, but it is definitely something that you can do yourself. You don't have to go to a mechanic, have them switch it out for you.
This is going to be a custom fit for your 2019 and newer Ford Ranger. It is a very easy drop-in installation. So just basically pull your old air filter out, put this new one in its place. You can see it does have an indication of which direction it should face to make sure that you're putting the new one in the same orientation as the original. And this is going to do a great job of helping to filter out any of that air that's coming through your heating and air conditioning systems.
So that particles aren't building up in those systems, so that you're going to avoid costly maintenance down the road. But it's also going to help with all the air that's circulating in, blowing in your face through that system. So it's going to filter out about 90% of your outside pollutants including dust, smoke, bacteria, pollen, mold spores and soot. Now this is the white media particulate here that's going to capture all those particles as it's flowing through and allow that clean air to blow out the backside. This is manufactured to ISO 9001/9002/9003 standards, as well as the QS9000 standards.
So you can trust it's going to do a good job of pulling those particles out of the air so that it doesn't get blown in your face or clogging up your heating and air conditioning system. Now, for those of you who need a little bit more reassurance, that this is going to work for your Ford Ranger, you can check out the part numbers that you see on the screen there. If you find those on your current air filter or in your owner's manual, anywhere you can trust, this is going to be the exact replacement that you're going to need. It's going to do a great job of filtering out any of those particles. So it's not negatively affecting your heating and air conditioning system.
It's just making your breathing air a lot cleaner in your cab. So that's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
