A solid, stable ride starts with how your camper is secured. These custom frame-mounted tie-downs attach directly to the truck’s frame—the most rigid part of the vehicle—so the camper’s weight spreads evenly and the center of gravity stays low. That means less sway from crosswinds and more predictable handling on long-distance hauls or rough roads. Once tightened down, the camper stays put without twisting or shifting around.
These tie-downs use pre-existing holes in the frame for a bolt-on install—no cutting or drilling needed. Because they’re built for a specific fit, they mount tight to the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance. The result is a clean, secure setup that keeps your truck’s structure intact and avoids unnecessary modifications.
Made of heavy-duty steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built to handle the stress of heavy campers and tough travel conditions. The durable coating adds an extra layer of protection against chips, rust, and road debris so they stay looking good and performing strong after years of use.
When you’re not hauling a camper, simply remove the arms and the brackets are hardly visible underneath the truck. This low-profile design keeps your truck looking neat without bulky hardware hanging down or getting in the way.

Each arm has two pin holes that let you extend or retract the reach for proper turnbuckle alignment. Two anchor holes on each plate help you fine-tune the angle so your camper stays locked in from multiple directions. Pair them with turnbuckles (sold separately) for a secure and balanced connection every time.

Today in our 2018 Ram 3500, we're going to be installing Torque Lift's custom frame mounted camper tie downs for the rear. These camper tie down points will give you a secure place to hook up the turnbuckles for your camper to ensure it's secure to the bed of your truck. These tie downs are designed to work specifically with Torque Lift's super hitch, so you'll already need to have that installed. Now if you don't have a super hitch installed on your vehicle, you can find the most appropriate one using our fit guide here at eTrailer.com for your vehicle. The tie down arms can slide in and out, so when you're not using it, you can reduce the footprint they have on your vehicle. There's two holes, depending on the length that you need for your camper. Simply slide it in, lining up the holes, insert your pin and then lock it in. You want to make sure that your tie down points are facing the appropriate direction, so we've got our holes on top, and the offset towards the rear.If you frequently remove your arms, there's stickers that come included with your tie downs, so you can label them for quick re-installation, without having to worry that you're putting the wrong arm in the wrong hole.So we're going to remove these two bolts from our Super hitch, using a 3/4" socket wrench. We can then slide our receiver into our Torque Lift hitch, lining up the holes with the original.
You want to make sure this collar is facing toward the front. Now, if on your Super Hitch, the bolts didn't already have an adequate length of about 1/4" of the thread sticking out, you will need to use the bolts that come provided with your camper tie down. But since ours had plenty of threads, we're going to re-use the bolts we took out. We're just going to slide those back through, and slide our lock washers on, and re-install our nuts.We can now tighten and torque our hardware. We'll then torque it to the specifications found in our instructions. We can repeat that exact same process on the other side. And that completes our installation of Torque Lift's custom frame mounted camper tie downs for the rear on our 2018 Ram 3500..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
