Video Transcript for All You Need to Know About the BullRing Stake Pocket D-Rings

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at these BullRing Flush Angled Retractable Tie-Down Anchors for your truck beds stake pockets. These heavy duty anchors are going to attach to your truck beds stake pockets and give you tie down points to secure your load working with S hook and J hook connections. Now these are custom fit anchors that are going to fit various years and versions of the Ford F series trucks. Input the year, make, and model of your truck, and our fit guide will let you know if these will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, while the factory anchor points are inside the bed of your truck where it can be hard to reach, these retractable anchor points are going to install into the stake pockets on top of your bed rails. You're gonna simply pop the anchor ring up when you want to use it to secure your load. And then when you're done, you just push it down firmly, and make it flush, and then it's outta your way. Now again, let me show you just how simple these are to use.

Once you have these installed, it's just gonna be very simple to use. You just pull this ring up firmly, you hear it click or pop into place. That's gonna be secured. It's not going to go down by itself. It's gonna stay up as long as you need it to secure your strap and once you are done, and you don't need these hooks anymore, you don't have to leave them out there just sticking up.

You can just push it down firmly and it is gone and out of your way. Very easy. Very convenient to use. I do wanna mention that this angled anchor ring is going to provide a better pull angle and more strength for you. The flush fit is compatible with most tonneau covers and these anchors have a weight capacity of 1,000 pounds.

They're constructed of stainless steel. So that's gonna resist rust and corrosion and the nylon lower body is going to reduce sound. And the top cover is going to match the grain and color of your Ford bed rails, giving you that nice factory look. Now not only are these really easy to use, but I'm happy to say that the installation is going to be very quick and easy as well. And really it requires nothing more than a Phillips head screwdriver. So when you install these, you wanna remove any plastic caps that cover your stake pockets. And then you're going to use your Phillips screwdriver and loosen the top screw here at the top of our anchor there, and hopefully you can see that there. And for our purposes, I went ahead and loosened this screw. And so you loosen it, and then you just remove the screw, and then you are going to hold onto this top black cover. And when you remove that screw, it's going to let this bracket hang down, this steel plate, just hang down here. And you're not gonna have to worry about this becoming detached from this ring. It is permanently attached there. So you don't have to worry about losing that steel plate in your stake pocket. So then holding onto this top cover, you're gonna guide the anchor into the stake pocket. You'll probably have to put it in at an angle. And then once it's in that stake pocket, you're going to pull up until this lower bracket makes contact with the sheet metal in your truck. And then once that happens, you're just going to hold onto this ring, and then allow the cover to drop into place. And then you just replace your screw and tighten. So it's going to be that simple. It's gonna be very easy to install and you're gonna have these installed in no time. Now when you're tightening the screw, it is important to note that you don't want to over tighten the screw. If your plastic rail cap is beginning to bend or bow, then that's an indication that it is too tight, so you do wanna make sure that you do not over tighten. They're gonna be, once you have them installed, again, very easy to use. When you need that ring, you just pop it up. And when you don't, you push it down. It's out of your way.
