Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Westin Fey Diamondstep Rear Bumper with a black powder coat finish and steel construction. Now folks, this is a custom fit application, so you wanna make sure it's gonna fit your vehicle. Double check the fit guide here at etrailer.com. On our homepage where it says vehicle information, my vehicle, enter things like year, make, and model.
It looks like this one's gonna fit a 1986 through 1993 Mazda B Series pickup. That's right. So most likely you're restoring a rusted out bumper or maybe one that's old and bent and just corroded or whatnot. Get this nice brand new heavy duty steel replacement and you'll be back on your way. Now the replacement rear bumper will create like I just said, a nice sturdy step is gonna also help you access your truck bed with ease.
And this does match the factory specifications to fit your vehicle styling. It's gonna add both utility and rugged good looks to your truck. Now if you could see here, the nice diamond tread pattern here on the surface not only creates traction whenever you're getting in and out of your vehicle, but it also kind of gives it that nice rugged look that is matched with the theme for the time frame of the vehicle. Now I wanna show you an overhead view real quick of the three holes here. So you have your center hole for the ball.
Then you have your two outside ones here for your safety chains. Now those are already stamped out through the metal here as you can see, so you get your safety chain again, ball hole, and safety chain. Now the tow capacity of this bumper is gonna be 3,500 pounds gross towing weight and a max tongue weight here of 350 pounds. So keep in mind it's just a bumper, it's not an actual hitch mounted to the frame. Now that hitch ball hole's diameter is three quarters of an inch.
Now this is a no drill custom application, meaning it's gonna mount with custom brackets. Those are sold separately. I'll put them on the screen for you as well. Now you're gonna get the two lights here for your license plate lights. You're gonna get the bulbs for those lights. You're gonna get some electrical wire connections and two bolts, and you're gonna get these two clips and the housing for the light. So these housings on the outside, they have pre-molded tabs and they just simply go right into the hole. And on the backside you take one of these clips and you just simply push it through per the instructions and that clip's gonna have the force to hold it in place just like you see. And then you're gonna take one of the wire connectors and you're going to put that inside of there. So I wanna flip this around. Hopefully you can see this a little better. So I already put that clip on there, like I was just mentioning. On these lights, same thing, you'll have two knobs. They will connect, you'll twist the light socket into place and then you'll have your bulb ready to shine your safety lights on your license plates. To remove it, just simply twist it back, the tabs line up again and you're on your way. So I'm gonna pull this clip back out here (clip clanks) and take that back off. Now why I've got it flipped over here, just to show you a brief view of the back. So again, everything here, heavy duty steel, it's not gonna rust or corrode on you. It's a cold rolled steel to be exact so it's super strong, super sturdy. Now I will again throw up that custom mounting bracket on the page real quick here. I highly recommend that custom mount bracket, even if you already have your original brackets, more likely than not, they're probably rusted in place. And this is gonna come with new bolts, new hardware, and it's just gonna be a lot safer overall and a lot easier installation as well. Well, that's gonna wrap it up for our looks together folks, I wanna thank you so much for your time. As always, please, we welcome feedback and send us some photos or video of it in use on your vehicle so you can show off your ride. I'm Steven, have a good one.
