Curt Class II Drawbar - 5" Rise - 9-5/8" Long - 3,500 lbs
I am an infrequent trailer user, but getting my daughter home from college was necessary in March. This drawbar fits my hitch and utility trailer well, did exactly what it is supposed to do, and was the last thing to be concerned about right then. I have a '11 Mini Countryman S with a Class II receiver from Mini Fini, (which cost twice as much as a Curt) where the hole is flush with the fake grille near the bottom of the bumper cover, so I needed the long bar to reach out past the bumper. The Curt receiver for that car hangs visible underneath the bumper (ugly), which also increases the lever arm on the receiver beam and would have needed an even taller rise. (Curt take note!) All just part of the kit to create an occasional 1 ton pickup out of my Mini, leaving the "bed" at home most of the time.
Fits perfectly. I just wish you would’ve sent a pin with it because I had to go chase that down and get an aftermarket one at Ace Hardware.

Brophy Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches - 5-1/2" Rise, 6" Drop - 7-1/4" Long - 3.5K
Quality parts, but the extra rise with this and the Curt Rocker Ball still wasn’t enough to avoid scraping the top of my inclined road while towing my boat.
I just purchased a new hideaway hitch system. But the hitch sits only 15 inches off the ground at best. And, my trailer coupling is 22-23 inches off ground. So l needed 7-8 inches of rise on the new 1.25 inch receiver system. Internet research took me to etrailer and the Brophy hitch. I got 5.5 inches with the Brophy hitch, the highest available for a 1.25 inch receiver I could find. The others are limited to 5 inches max. I added another 1.5 inches with your Curt shock absorbing hitch. Voila, with a combined 7 inches of rise and on level ground the trailer now rides perfectly level!!!! Both parts were very easy to connect. Delivery was speedy. Thank you for saving the day and my investment in an expensive new hideaway hitch!

Brophy Ball Mount - 5" Rise, 6" Drop - 16" Long - Aluminum - 8,000 lbs
Perfect for my Tahoe. I have a 2019 Tahoe LS 4x4 with the max tow package. The receiver is mounted higher than than on the truck it replaced. Six inches of drop appears to be just about right for my boat trailer.
I bought a new trailer that came with a tongue mounted jack stand. The problem was the hand crank was to close my truck and prevented me from lowering my tailgate while the trailer was connected, by about a 1/2 inch. I had a standard steel 6 inch drop Reece ball mount. This one has more weight capacity, but is half the weight of the older ball mount. It added just enough distance from the truck I can put the tailgate down!

Curt Class II Drawbar - 5" Rise - 11-5/8" Long - 3,500 lbs
I was in need of a hitch higher than the standard 3 or 4 inch riser and spoke with Samatha B, after a couple of emails she found a 5 inch riser for my 1 1/4" receiver. Just what I needed and a happy customer. Received very quick and good sturdy quality. Thanks again!
3.5 stars. Product looks like it should perform as advertised, but it arrived with several chips in the paint. This is most likely due to improper surface preparation and cleaning before the powder coat was applied. As you can see in the photos, there is already some surface rust on some of the areas, including the hole for the hitch pin. Ultimately the paint will get scratched up from use, but it would be nice to see some extra attention to detail from the factory.
