Best 2023 Toyota Tacoma Truck Bed Extenders

Just assembled my Yakima Long-Arm for my Tacoma pickup. Easy to assemble and adjust. Love that it’s aluminum and like the flexibility provided by the available adjustments. Wished the height in the upright position was a couple inches taller to better accommodate putting a canoe on the cab roof. Looking forward to giving this a try soon.

Had one before and loved it, have a truck again and will love this one just as much !

The Rhino Rack Load Assist looks like it will satisfy my need completely. I have an inflatable dinghy, which weighs the same as a kayak. The Load Assist will help me place the dinghy on the roof racks of my Toyota Highlander! This would be a five star rating, but I had to run an M8 X 1.25 tap through one of the anti-rattle holes to get the knob to attach. The rack is top notch, and the anti-rattle features are not required but certainly are a plus. I installed this on a 2022 Toyota Tacoma after buying another brand that would not go high enough to be level with the bed. Buy the Malone Safety Flags while you have free shipping from etrailer.

etrailer processed and shipped the Malone Axis Truck Bed and Roof Load Extender on the same day ordered and it arrived 3 days later. Assembly was a breeze and it appears to be just what we needed for carrying long loads in our Tacoma bed or going vertical with the extender and using it for loads across the roof or over the tailgate. We look forward to putting it to use with 10 ft kayaks, a 17 ft canoe and all sorts of lumber and other long items. It is heavy duty, well built and flexible in how to orient the extender for a given load. The parts are a bit loose fitting so expect a bit of rattling, but that may better than tight fitting pieces that could be difficult to assemble. It comes with a brace that fits over the top of your hitch and over the 2x2 tube of the extender to firmly stabilize it in place at the hitch. My bet is the load on the extender will tighten the other components so rattle may only be noticeable when in the hitch without any load on it. So far, it appears to be just what we needed in terms of flexibility of use (vertical and horizontal) and in the load it will handle (375 lbs).

This thing is exactly what I have been waiting for for many years as a painter I do not like ladder racks that are always on and I do not like 200 lb steel units that I have had in the past I kept asking around for an aluminum one to be invented and WOW here it is the weight is almost nothing and I can not carry my 40 foot extension ladders with ease then take the unit off for the weekends etc I could not be happier plus it is a yakima which have always been one of the best out there for portability and durability

This thing has a lot of adjustments to fit any full size truck, that being said, it takes time to make it fit properly. It took me 3 tries to get the attachment points properly fitted. I watched etrailers videos and if that guy had bothered to put it together right, the video would have shown a lot sturdier and solid product and his review probably would’ve been a lot better.

The Curt bed extender was simple to install, and remove and store when not needed. It is rock solid and can be used as a tie-down point when securing cargo. I like the coverage of this bed extender and relied on etrailer videos before I purchased it. The pin that fits in the V-opening, and the latch that locks into the truck bed tailgate latch are flexible and can be installed in many different positions. The key is to find the positions that enable the extender tailgate to fit. The etrailer staff helped me try several positions before finding one that worked. I like this extender because it is solid when installed, and simple to remove and store. I only need it when we are hauling stuff. When not in use it stores flat in the barn or under my toolbox in the truck bed.

Good product! I will recommend it. Much easier to load my 70# kayak in my truck than on my roof racks. Plus I can load all of my fishing gear into my kayak before I leave the house. It dismantles easily to store in the truck when in the parking lot.

Package arrived 1 day earlier than expected, packaged ok, some scuffs and scratches on parts,hence the 4 star. If you need instructions they are average, but simple installation and the rubber roller is awesome, softer than expected from description but firm enough to last. Can't wait for the weather to break to start using my kayak

Was looking for an affordable bed extender to add kayak racks to. It allows me to easily load and unload two 12' kayaks from my short bed Toyota Tacoma. This rack does the job perfectly! etrailer is great to work with.

Bar will not go low enough to be level with the bed of a Toyota Tacoma pickup. Frame is built sturdy enough to handle expected loads. Am still pleased with the product!. I put a 1 x 4 across the tailgate and this corrected my lumber load to be evenly distributed between the extender and the truck bed.
