The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller was a much needed upgrade for my truck. I had an older basic brake controller that I used with my small camper that we had and it faired well at the time. But…with a 38’ camper that’s double the weight the Prodigy 3 is a perfect match. Towing is less stressful now with confidence in brake situations. Also the model specific harness I purchased with it made the installation quick and painless. Thank you etrailer for another great product

Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers
This product is 98% plug and play. The only issues we ran into was the supplied harness ground wire we installed to the bed frame didn't provide a ground through the truck. Most likely was the bed mounting isolators were preventing a good connection. We ran an additional ground wire from the mentioned harness ground to the mounting bolt of the 7-way connector mounted to the bumper. We also had to run a dedicated 12 volt fused power wire to the 7-way connector from the battery to operate our electric trailer jack.
This is my third truck using my prodigy brake controller with the plug in adapter. As in the past the wiring is heavy gauge to match vehicle & installed with ease. I used the prodigy mount bracket to take up space & slid it in factory controller slot. I can unplug it when not in use if I want & interior looks stock. I make a slot in back of dash compartment to feed adapter wire through for easy plug in & out. Product was revived quickly & ordering on etrailer site was a breeze. Would definitely recommend this plug & play adapter

The Curt wiring adapter was fine, however our coach was not wired with a plug in the harness, so installation required a little wiring work to complete. No big issue, the product was great
Everything was as described. Easy easy installation in 10 minutes. Not the top of the line controller but it's all I need. Very fast shipping as well. Couldn't be more happy with etrailer. I will be purchasing my fifth through etrailer soon!

Curt Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Dual Plug In
Adapted Curt brake controller for my 2014 Ford F150 STX without any problems. Just find your Ford brake control connector behind the coin slot on the left side of the dash and plug it in.
