This item worked great for my bicycle rack that I installed on my jeep. I have a 2" hitch on my bumper. Needed a 1-1/4" adapter hitch, so my bike rack would fit.

The hitch arrived as promised and is as described. It's just what we were looking for to adapt our bike carrier for use on our new Jeep Wrangler.

It worked, till it didn't. It's a short smaller tube inside a larger tube, only held together by two spot welds. The spot welds split/detached allowing the inner sleeve free movement! I have a bike w stinger expanded to grip the inner tube and a little safety catch on outside. The safety catch was the only thing keeping my rack from sliding completely off! For the price this should've been a solid milled piece. Don't rely on these welds unless you have two through hitch pins one on car and one through the adapter end.

Based on an initial fit, the bike rack stinger is a bit loose in the reducer. If tightening the threaded pin does not reduce the wobble, I can add some shims since I intend to keep the reducer mounted on the bike rack. The reducer is an easy fit into the 2" receiver - the Quiet Hitch removed any movement.
