Most Popular 1-7/8 Inch Ball for 2019 Ford Escape

I was very pleased with the etrailer.com staff's help in choice of hitch, ease of purchase shipping and tracking of the products 98900 and E98866, both products arriving at my residence together the day promised and undamaged. My Grandson and I mounted the hitch today. I backed the car up onto a set of ramps and by removing the piece from the rear bumper as shown in the video, we had very little problems in guiding the hitch in above the muffler to its bolt down point and pulling the wires through the proper holes which I had circled with chalk. I did not trust the video and had constructed a wooden support under the muffler so it did not drop should the hitch slip out of our hands. We did use it to rest the hitch on top of the muffler when our arms got tired until we got the first nut on a bolt on either side in place. Being 70 years old with two back surgeries I would never have attempted this by myself because the class III 2" hitch is very heavy and awkward as the receiver area makes it want to tip down but a short 2x2 support kept it balanced. The video provided is worth mentioning, as it made the job easily understandable. Between prepwork and all it took about 1 1/2 hours. Very pleased.

Bought a trailer hitch and wiring harness for my 2017 Ford Escape. Both the hitch and wiring harness went on very easy, I spent maybe 4 hours with a lunch break thrown in to put the whole thing together.. saved me a ton of money not having to rent a truck and car carrier, and just towing a trailer. Excellent product! With the three different ball sizes, this tri-ball mount gives you a lot of flexibility. Gone are the days of having several different ball mounts to fit different tongues. High quality construction makes this an excellent investment.

This item should solve the problem I have had with a stainless 3-way ball when I tried to reverse the position on the ball mount. The threads galled between the hex nut and hitch ball.

I am very happy with my trailer hitch receiver from etrailer. I installed one on my 2011 Toyota rav4 for towing a small teardrop trailer I made during the pandemic. I also purchased a wiring harness to power the trailer lights from etrailer and after some doing have it working well. The cost of doing it myself was a small fraction of having the dealership do the work. The hitch receiver is easy to install as there are pre drilled holes to receive bolts in the frame. The wiring is a bit more complicated but I did it. God bless online videos. I'm happy with the results.

Hitch ball works flawlessly with my trailer. Fits our hitch receiver just fine. Has the typical subpar black paint finish that chips easy though. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.
