MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke
Nothing but issues. It has worked fully for maybe 3 months in the last two years. At multiple times an owner of these will experience the beeping and blinking green light issue. You’ll be told “oh, moisture in the mother board” so, you replace the PC board and add electrical waterproofing (which voids your warranty). That holds for a while then the beeping and blinking starts again “oh, its gotta be the current draw, the fans require a solid 12v”. Add a DC/DC stabilizer to each fan should settle the issue. Nope, only another two month fix. You can reset these fans easily by just disconnecting the power to them and that seems to get some time but the issue of your fan not going above low and the beeping and green light will inevitably return. there seems to be a lot of people who experience this exact issue leading me to believe it’s a quality control issue at and is not being addressed. I would not recommend these fans to anyone.
This roof vent is a real game changer for us. It allows us to open and vent our teardrop, even in the rain. Design is sleek. Lock works well. Fan is excellent and quiet.

Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Smoke
So far it's holding up with no leaks. Kind of on the flimsy side comparing to the one removed but easy to install. Couldn't use the trim ring inside but after a year still looks new and the lifting/lowering mechanism works smoothly. Overall a good price for the quality.
It's not what i expected

Vent Cover for Ventline Old-Style Rounded Dome Trailer Roof Vents - Smoke
It's exactly what on line.
My experience with etrailer could not have been better. Their online catalog had very good pictures and product description, so I was confident the I was ordering the right item for my application. Pricing was competitive. George J emailed me after I placed the order to let me know he upgraded my shipping so I could get the product sooner. The vent covers came well packaged and undamaged. Now I need to install them on my vintage 1964 Airstream Overlander, which I bought several years ago and rehabilitated. The white plastic vent covers I installed several years ago became brittle and crumbled. I hope the smoke colored ones I bought from etrailer will last a bit longer, but the price was so fair I bought an extra pair for the next time.

MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 4 Speed - Smoke
Works Great! We're in the process of selling our small trailer (bought a small motorhome). The MaxxFan will be a great selling feature.
I installed this myself on a vintage camper. It fit perfect in the space where the old vent was. Wiring was simple, and cutting down the bezel was easy. I have left this open for months and even in storms and no rain gets in. Being able to keep it open keeps the camper from getting musty. I also like the tinted skylight effect it gives.

Dometic FanTastic Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4"
The 2250 Fantastic Fan still working great after a year! Pretty quiet and the thermostat is a handy feature that works well. In my application, it has a tendency to open itself while driving around unless it has been cranked down fairly hard. Driving with it open doesn't seem to be a problem other than the outside noise that comes in that way. My application was a fiberglass raised top on a Chevy van. I had to make a wood frame as the fiberglass did not provide a flat surface to mount to. Photos below show inside frame, fan, and insulation.
This fan is no longer being manufactured by Dometic, but I was happy to get one because I like the manual lift (rather than a remote plus rain sensor - I've read too many complaints about those models and they are close to $100 more). The fan came undamaged and not a returned item - another plus - I ordered from another company and the fan was broken, but had obviously been returned.

Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Powered Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Smoke
Operates as described but when closed lifts slightly (flutters) in windy conditions. I’m concerned it might leak when it rains but haven’t been in those conditions yet.
I received the product today. Customer service to this point has been excellent. It will be about a week before trailer repair folks will be here to install, however, I did open and inspect the product. It was not protected in the box and is wedged into the box. I pray it will not be damaged.

Dometic FanTastic Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote - Powered Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4"
Had a customer with a manual push bathroom fan on a park model. There was no way you could turn it on without dragging a step stool in to reach it? Poor design originally but this remote control fan is the ticket for situations like I am describing. Simple installation, customer loved it!
Installed fan. All functions work. Except the fan blade is defective. Fan blade assembly rim has an axial runout of 1/4 inch, inner hub of fan blade assembly has a runout of 3/16 inches. Fan blade wobbles excessively. Obviously a mfg. defective part. The worst part is how difficult it is to get customer support from eTrailer or Domestic to just get a replacement fan blade. Should be simple. It’s not. Probably easer to just order a replacement fan blade and avoid the trouble of a warranty claim.

MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke
Put this in to get heat out of semi. Open side vent and turn fan on high exhaust wow what a game changer.
I purchased 2 of these fans to replace the old fan in our RV. Absolutely love these fans and the features; keeps out the rain open or closed, auto on at set temperature, in or out air flow, remote control, low profile design, and straight forward installation. If you are considering a fan replacement, I highly recommend this fan.
