This is a very sturdy and well-made hitch. Installation was fairly straight forward - the directions and video are very good. My truck is a 2024 Silverado 2500 HD in High Country trim (why pay less?) so, the fairings/moldings under the front bumper were slightly different, but nothing that was not easy to adjust to. The measurements in the instructions were right on. As you can see in the photos, we have two ebikes that we plan to haul around while we pull our camper. The hitch and bike rack set up appears to be very secure and stable. They sit a little higher than I would like, but not any higher that the snowplow lights I had on a truck I has way back in the day... I'm pretty good at backing the camper (28 ft), but I am also looking forward to testing out pushing the camper into it's fairly tight parking pad. I've never done it, but I hear it works well in close spaces. Lastly, this is the second hitch I have purchased from etrailer. We added one to the back of the wife's Rav4 last fall to haul this same bike rack and bikes. It also works great (tight, stable and secure) except note that the Toyota installation was a little more challenging as there is very little room to work & insert the bolts, however, no cutting was involved. It looks nice. In any case, both transactions were great. If I had another vehicle that needed a hitch, I would purchase it again from eTrailer. Much thanks to all.

2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500I purchased this receiver for my 2013 GMC HD 2500. It works great. Shipped and arrived in a few days. I installed it myself in less than an hour. Nothing to drill - everything lined up! The online how-to video was very helpful. I've used it several time and would highly recommend it!
The package came extremely damaged but the hitch was ok. Figured it was a hitch can't really mess it up. Took about hour to install because the nuts were very tight and had trouble getting to the passenger side. Holes matched up pretty dang near perfect looks nice. Very pleased with product for the price. Using it for a winch. 2014 Chevy 2500HD. Would do business with etrailer again.

We live just south of Buffalo and Put this on our '11 Honda Ridgeline with a snowsport plow and a week later it snowed, and snowed and snowed... 5 feet in 24 hours and it's still snowing.... It's not good.... It's AWESOME! Not one driveway or even our street is clear... Except ours. It was easy to put together , easy to install and works exactly like it's advertised! It's November and it paid for itself already. Communication with etrailer was exceptional. We could not be happier with the whole setup.
Needed a front hitch for a 2006 Ridgeline Honda truck. I found it on etrailer.com and a better price for same hitch on another online store. Installing onto my 2014 Silverado 1500 was a breeze. The only thing that caught me off guard was that I needed to cut a portion from the center of my splash guard for the rear bracket to be able to mount. I was only expecting to trim/remove the air dam as etrailer explained in the item description, which I still had to do. Other than that it was a perfect fit and I'm happy with the results. I plan to use this for a snow plow, winch, and many more interchangeable items for it.
I installed this front hitch by myself on a 2016 Chevy Suburban in about 3.5 hours with no floor jack. I use it to carry my mountain bikes when we are towing the trailer. The hitch sits 8.25” off the ground and extends out past the air dam about 3.5”. Once installed, the hitch is not very noticeable. A couple notes on the install: 1. The most difficult part is figuring out where to make the hole in the splash shield for the rear mounting point. I removed the splash shield and determined roughly where to cut a 1.5” hole based on the existing holes in the cross member. 2. To cut the air dam, I drilled small holes the the corners then used a utility knife to score and cut out the section. 3. I mounted the rear point first which gave me leverage to install the front easier. 4. The tape method for the 9/16 hardened washer and cone washer did not work for me. I had to finagle them into position as I was tightening the bolts (huge pain) 5. I had 4 extra 9/16 hardened washers. These are apparently supplied in case you need additional washers to fill the gap in the frame. I am very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it to others.

Bolted right up to my 2019 F-250. Looks like it's going to work perfect to haul my E-bike rack. I might have to use a dual receiver hitch to drop the rack down for better visibility while driving. That's to be determined. I'd highly recommend the Eco Hitch!!
FordThe hitch is great! Super stout. But, installation was a disappointment. There was a significant gap between the frame rails on the Ford. About 3/8 inch. Did some research and it seems some frames are different but can't confirm. I happen to have a piece of 3/8 steel plate that I was able to cut and drill and slide it in to take up the gap. Definitely extra work I wasn't planning on doing. I guess I'd still buy it again but if you're going to pay someone to install it then make sure they put a nice spacer in there and bot a bunch of washers. Again, not sure is this is a Ford inconsistency or an eco hitch problem. Because it's a hitch and needs to be 100% solid this should be looked into.

I chose Draw-tite because they are built very well and this one is no different. The welds are done well and I have no fear that this product will serve me well. The install wasnt to bad for a DIY type like me and the fit was excellent, only took a few hours. Knowing that I can now be pulled out of a bad situation or pull someone else out is comforting with the help of a hitch mounted winch. The Price was right and etrailer shipped it out fast although packing could use a smaller box . Oh yeah, UPS sure tested the toughness of this receiver ! . I bought this receiver to add front mounted 'accessories' on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I plan on using this to add an extra bicycle rack, a cargo basket, a receiver mounted winch or other 'accessories' needed for my Jeep when I take my family camping. It will also be useful for "front launching" a boat or parking a trailer in tight spots. It took me about an hour to install, although I had already previously removed the lower wind deflector cowling, so did not have to spend time removing it or cutting it for a finished look. Detaching and moving the top trim panel between the grill and the bumper is a must to facilitate the installation. The receiver fits pretty close, although you do have to manipulate it to get the holes to line up with the frame. Follow the instructions and do not tighten any of the bolts until you get it lined up and all the bolts in loosely, then torque it down. As noted in the instruction sheet, the driver's side of the receiver does not sit flush against the frame, there is about a 1/4" to 5/8" gap. The instructions say to use the extra split washers (in the kit) as filler, but they would just rattle around loose in there and provide any benefit, so I omitted them. Once tightened down, the receiver tube was not parallel to the ground, it is slightly higher in the front, sloping towards the rear. It is not off enough to affect my intended use, but may be bothersome to those with type 'A' attention to detail. Overall a good product that will add a lot of flexibility to my Jeep~
Relatively easy install. Just have to be mechanically inclined. We use the hitch to carry a fish rack/cooler on a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. So far so good.

I have had this hitch installed for just over a year now on my '99 2-door Tahoe. The install was pretty straight forward, and the hitch itself has held up quite well through a year's worth of abuse. I use it to run my bike rack out the front; the receiver protrudes just below the factory front bumper, maximizing ground clearance when adding length to the front of the vehicle. And as you can see, the kit comes with two sets of hardware in case you want to maintain the factory tow hooks like I have.

I buy practically all my towing accessories from etrailer. One of the reasons why is that you can tell that they take the feedback of their customers seriously. I read a lot about previously shipped products having fell out of the box in certain areas. etrailer heard that feedback and my shipping box was reinforced in just the right areas that were talked about getting punched through in shipping. The tech notes video on the 2012 F-250 applied exactly on my 2016 F-250. All the measurement specifications were correct as well. This is a job that can be done by one person, albeit you'll have to be careful. Your second set of hands can be jack stands, as it was in my case. If you take your time in positioning everything - installation will be a breeze. I do agree with previous reviews - it would be nice to have a second fishing wire as it does get stretched out when pulling the first bolt through. That, or a heavier duty gauged wire - that's just a small detail however. If you're really concerned about it, you can buy a secondary fishing wire at around 5 bucks. I spent more time taking out and putting back in body clips than I did with the install of the hitch receiver hardware. I really like the way it looks and I'm excited to use it.

How it was received; either is was mail destroyed or UPS did this in the process. No telling what parts are missing, waiting for UPS to come pick this and E-Trailer to send out replacement. I thought these product would be packaged better from the factory for shipping resilience.
This hitch was very easy to install....I had to trim the lower air dam to fit around the receiver and that gives it a clean neat look. I didn't like that I had to remove and leave the shields around the tow hooks off. But overall I'm very pleased. I plan to use this hitch for maneuvering a camper in a narrow spot beside my home, and for a bike rack when towing a camper.

Jeep WranglerFits perfect and works just as I needed it to. I use it for my SnowSport plow set-up on a 2022 Gladiator Sport Max Tow. I’ve been using front receivers for this same plow for the last 24 years. It’s been used on 5 different trucks and this front receiver mount plow is the BEST. *** When installing on a Gladiator(possibly the Wrangler as well), the front plastic trim below the bumper needs to be cut for receiver clearance. I wanted a tight and “factory looking” install, so I took my time with a vibrating cutter and very sharp utility knife. After trying to put it back in place, the hole is not just square, it’s shaped more like. “T”. I suggest you make small adjustments/cuts as you go forward. It may take several times fitting and cutting to get it right and tight, but in the end it does look like it came that way from JEEP. On the Max Tow package, there is also a metal skid plate that does not get reinstalled. Unfortunately that piece is where the back of the plastic fascia mounts. I ended up securing it with some long heavy-duty zip-ties and it’s worked well for a year now. Just an FYI for those installing the same receiver on their same vehicle.

For a business that is based on shipping everything they need to learn how to package stuff. Everything I received from a trailer comes damaged at this point.
Installed on my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. Shipping box was destroyed & poorly packed. Instructions were straightforward. Install took 1 1/2 hrs. I only trimmed the thin trim without cutting the skid plate. The receiver pushes up on the skid plate slightly, but I didn’t want to cut it. Should work great for my E-bikes when pulling the RV.

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Draw-Tite Front hitch receiver on a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500. Now your front hitch is gonna be a two inch by two inch, which means that there's gonna be plenty of options available as far as either putting a ball mount, a winch, a cargo carrier, or a bike rack. Now all of these accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now this is not included with the front hitch, but a lot of times your accessories will come with one. Now if you want to pick up an extra or a locking one, we have those available here at etrailer, and that way you can leave your accessories loaded on, locked in place, and no one can walk away with them. No matter what accessory you're gonna be loading up, you do want to adhere to the weight capacities and if you're using a winch, this does have a line pull of 9,000 pounds, but all of your cargo weight or anything that's gonna be supported on your front hitch like your cargo carriers, or bike racks, or winches, are going to have a 500 pound capacity.
