Today on this 2015 Ford Explorer, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Over the Top Two Bike Rack, part number HRF2. As you can see we already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now how the bike is attached to the rack, you're going to have three points of contact with the bike's frame. You're going to have two straps up top here, plus one strap off to the side, which is going to serve as anti-sway strap, which will keep the bike rack from moving back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack, or the bike in front of it. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside for the time being. Now once you remove the straps it's a good habit to actually put them back in place. You don't want them flapping around while you're driving, more importantly you don't want to lose them while you're driving.



Yakima Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Explorer

Today on our 2015 Ford Explorer we're doing a test of the Yakima HalfBack Trunk Mount 2 Bike Rack, that part number is Y02636. Now we already have our bike secured down but first I'm going to show you how we do that and then we'll go over some features. We have 2 cradles in place with these straps also known as the ZipStrip, we have 2 on our frame here and we've got other anti-sway. We're going to start by removing our bike and setting it off to the side and then I suggest that you replace your ZipStrip so you don't lose or damage them. With those out of the way we'll take some measurements here. First looking the overall what we're adding to our vehicle with our arms hanging out. It's going to be 24 and a quarter inches.

Today on our 2015 Ford Explorer, we're doing a test-it of the Yakima FullBack 2 Trunk Mount Bike Rack. That part number is Y02634. We already have our bike secured down.
