This carrier was perfect for our 05 Equinox. We had tried a different carrier that fits a 2" hitch and had to buy the adapter to fit our 1.25" hitch. This caused the carrier to come out way too far from the back of the vehicle and did not look safe. I found this one online and had it shipped to us within a couple of days. We just used it on our vacation and it worked perfectly. It also ended up being cheaper than the one we had bought before, not including the adapter. Saved us at least $60.00 even after paying the expedited shipping. Great product, and great communication from the seller in regards to shipping the item.

Great cargo rack! Well made and strong. We modified ours to carry our ebikes on top of our generator and cooler. We've been from coast to coast with no problems.

Used it a hand full of times for camping with two different SUVs and its been great. Once over 2000 miles round trip. With the waterproof bag you can hold more gear since it goes above the side rails. Just be careful if your driveway slopes down you’ll lightly scrape the ground when backing out. And if you have a smaller suv or car make sure you center the heaviest items or it will feel it pulling back and forth on the freeway.

Purchases a hitch and wire harness from you. Like my two other purchases everything fit and worked as expected. Any and all future purchases will be with etrailer. Keep up the great work. I rate you five out of five stars.

Light weight and strong. Perfect for my needs

The reason I bought this basket is due to gas prices. I have a 4X4 suburban I use for camping and hunting but it takes a small loan to fill up the tank. Actually this basket cost less than it does to fill it up. So my thought was if i can get all my gear on my daily driver then i could save some money and maybe even sale the burb. So i gave it a shot last weekend. The rack was easy to put together. I had it out of the box and on the roof in under 30 minutes. As you can see in the pic, i have a rather large ice chest, chain saw, 6 man tent, gas stove and my chair on the roof. My camping destination was about 3 hours away. First was a hour of highway driving at speeds around 70. No issues there. Then 2 hours of windy back roads. No issues there either. The basket made it possible for me and my two kids to load up in the car and head to the hills for three days. The plus for me was it only takes 50$ to fill up the car. :-) I had the max weight in this basket with no issues. I'm very happy with this basket.

I purchased this product to use in the 1 1/4" trailer hitch on my 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The item was easy to assemble, is of high quality, and is exactly as described. Being able to adjust the carrier in and out on the bar allows the carrier to be placed with just enough clearance of the vehicle to provide stability and thus avoiding the leverage effect when used with heavier loads. I ordered this item under time constraints, and etrailer worked with me to make sure the item arrived as quickly as possible, and followed up and kept me updated on the order progress along the way. Works great for camping trips. Also, adapted carrier to hold a electric wheel chair which a foldable ramp (adapted) is used to get it up on the carrier.
