Keep your battery ready when you need it most. From the fishing boat in your garage to the motorcycle waiting for spring, this compact charger handles the work for you with smart, automatic charging and a simple plug-and-go setup.
You don't need to be an expert to keep your battery in great shape. This charger handles the thinking for you. It moves through a full 8-stage sequence on its own, adjusting as needed based on the battery's condition. No modes to toggle. No settings to double-check. Just connect and let it run. It'll bring the charge up safely and shut itself down once the battery's full.
If you've ever stored a vehicle during the off-season, you've probably turned the key and gotten nothing. This charger is built to stay connected for long periods of time without causing damage. It won't spark when you hook it up, and it won't overcook your battery while it sits. It's the kind of tool you install once and count on, especially if your gear spends more time parked than in motion. You can use it in the garage all winter, and come back to a battery that's ready to go.
Once you've got the harness installed, charging is as simple as plugging in a cord. The kit includes a fused vehicle lead and a 9' 10" extension cable, so you can tuck the charger wherever it fits best. But if you'd rather go the portable route, it includes a set of clamps too. That way, you can move it between setups without rewiring.

How's it going, neighbors Today we're gonna take a look at the Projecta Charge and Maintain Battery Maintainer and Charger for 6 volt and 12 volt applications rated for 4 amps. Now this guy's actually really handy because you can use it portable or you can permanently mount it to your gear. So let's take a closer look at it and see what it does for us. Now as far as the display, you're gonna have this blue color. Don't know how well that's coming across on camera 'cause it is polarized, but you're gonna be able to shift through all your different options. So you can use this to recondition your battery.
You can test the voltage itself, and you can also set it to the different full setting, trickle charge, or storage modes. Also, you can set between your 12 and 6 volt rating. So this is gonna basically be one of those products where you don't have to do a lot of thinking at all. Honestly, once you hook it up, the system itself detects what's going on and you just determine how quickly or slow you would like the charge to happen. So what's really cool about this, you have two different ways to connect it.
You can attach it to the battery post terminals or you can use the alligator clamps. If you're sharing it across a lot of different gear, just the alligator clamps is gonna be your best option. You don't have to worry about reversing the poles 'cause it's not gonna cause any issue. It'll automatically fault, and you know, save the entire electrical system and your battery. Now as far as your different settings, you're gonna have a few different options between the slow charge, fast charge, and winter mode.
That's all toggled with this button. The reconditioning can do a battery as low as 2 volts, but, you know, it's not a genie, so just keep that in mind also. Now I like the fact that you can have a lot of flexibility of how you install it. So, you know, this is one of those tools that you can use in not only like a utility vehicle like this, but tractors, boats, all types of things. The charge you maintain actually has the codes for your fault code on the back of the unit so you don't have to look on your phone or look for the manual.
They think of everything to just make sure once you set this up, you don't have to give it much thought. I mean like it's the Crock-Pot of battery chargers, you know Overall I think that having products like trickle chargers and things like, for storage, it's always a good thing and most of us usually just have 'em from being passed down. Now, the main difference between this one and your old school one is you don't have to come back and check on it to make sure you don't overcharge your batteries and you can just basically set it and forget it like those old infomercials. And honestly, I notice a lot of people that are getting started out and they just don't know this stuff. We love interacting with you. Go ahead and leave a question and we'll get back in touch with you. Now gain, this is Ed with etrailer.com, taking a look at the Charge and Maintain from Projecta. Have a great day.
