When you have an extra rider tagging along, you can add this platform to your CrossTrack rack to carry one more bike. It holds your bike by the tires with tool-free adjustment and frame-free contact so it's compatibile with various bike styles.
If you already have a Crosstrack rack you like, this add-on lets you bring an extra bike without replacing the whole setup. It's a solid fix for the days you have one more rider or a second bike you want to bring along as a backup plan.
If you've ever watched a cheap rack clamp down on your frame or rub a spot shiny, this add-on is a different vibe. It holds your bike by the tires, so the frame isn't the contact point. You spent time picking the right fit and the right frame, and this additional rack treats it that way.

So you made another friend and now you can add an additional rack to your Hollywood Racks CrossTrack. So we have the one bike add on for Hollywood Racks CrossTrack. You can get it taken care of with simple hand tools and easy addition, simple upgrade. Lemme show you how to do it. So now we're gonna grab our Phillips head screwdriver and remove our end cap 'cause you know, it's just that easy man. I like when something, when you can make an upgrade and it's just like easy, basic instructions, easy tools to use.
Doesn't require a lot of headache. And this is a easy upgrade. Now slide your cap off and then you're just gonna align the end of your cradle with the end of your carrier. Your bolt only goes on one side. You are gonna have these two lock washers and a nut.
One on each side. I'm just gonna screw it in. It's kind of a long bolt. So be patient with me and then I'll grab my wrenches and we'll get it torqued down. And one little detail, you wanna make sure that you get this tab to fall into the hole here.
Just keeps everything nice and stable and that way you know your threads are locking right where you want 'em to. I'm gonna get this started with my fingers and we're gonna get this bolted down as well. Now once I get both on, I'm gonna hold the bolt head with a open wrench just to make sure I'm getting it down and tight. Now one thing to consider, you have 66 pounds on your interior trays and this additional one is rated right at 50. So just keep that in mind with the bikes and how you load them.
And just that easy, you're able to add the third tray to your CrossTrack bike carrier. Now a couple things that I've noticed is, A, you're gonna have additional weight and B, your lever is gonna be in the exact same position as it was for the two bike carrier. So that's going to make it a little difficult to get around the rear tray to activate it and latch into place. Now it may make the most sense to have another person give you a hand just to make sure that nothing drops down on your wrist. Now you should have at least one other friend if you're adding a third bike to your carrier and we would love to see where you're riding. Take a photo of your bike, your friends, the trail, because we just love having that interaction with you. Now again, this is Ed with etrailer.com taking a look at the HollywoodRacks CrossTrack one bike add-on.
