Are you tired of carrying a bulky ring of keys - for your hitch lock and coupler lock, your pickup cover or trailer door, and all the various padlocks securing your equipment? Tired of fumbling for the right key or having to replace a lost key?
BOLT (Breakthrough One-key Lock Technology) has solved that problem by designing a line of locks that can operate with a key you already have handy - your vehicle ignition key.
When you insert your own key into the cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to that key. The first time the key is rotated, the cylinder is uniquely coded to that key. When the key is removed, the cylinder moves into the locked position. When the key is turned again, it will rotate to the unlocked position.

Hi, everybody, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this BOLT Locking Recovery Hook. Now this particular hook's going to code to the Jeep center-cut key, and it's rated for 10,000 pounds capacity. Now the heavy-duty hook will provide an attachment point for either a rope, strap, chain, something like that, so you can recover that stuck vehicle very, very easily. Now it attaches to the tab on your Jeep's truck or on your Jeeps, your trucks, or SUVs aftermarket bumper. And it is a one piece build aluminum, so very lightweight, but it has a maximum load break strength of 10,000 pounds.
And as you can see, I left the sticker on here that talks about check your key for clearance on the vehicle. So follow the instructions. Once you put a key in here, you can never re-key it again, it's keyed to that key. So read the instructions very, very thoroughly. You have the pin here that goes into the unit and everything as well.
And, again, it has to be unlocked for that to go in. So I'm not gonna insert that. You have the snap rings here that are included for that to hold them in place for the installation. So, again, follow the instruction whenever you get this to install correctly. It rotates 160 degrees, so you can approach your recovery from multiple angles.
And it does have a spring-loaded clasp that will secure the strap to this hook. Now this does lock automatically once you remove the key, so just keep that in mind as well. And the lock itself, everything in here is a stainless steel lock, so you don't have to worry about anything rusting, corroding, or getting stuck and anything like that. It does have a nice, hard, heavy-duty rubber dust cover that's protecting that lock as well. And the safe working load limit is 333 pounds.
