  I'm assuming you're speaking of the Curt 1-7/8 ball and Clevis Mount, part # C45005, is that correct? If you were to use the # C45005 in combination with the # HE18, you would indeed get 24 inches of extension, measured from the hitch pin hole in the receiver hitch o your EZ-GO cart tot he trailer ball on the # C45005. However, using the extension will lower the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by half. I've provided a photo showing the dimensions of the two parts when used together.

It does not have a stated capacity beyond that but basically your ATV hitch would fail before it would. It is a hollow shank too. The length is 6 inches from the pin hole to the center of the hitch ball and 7-1/2 inches from the center of the pin hole to the center of the clevis hole.
