Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount. And this is going to slide right into your three inch by three inch trailer hitch receiver. It will then provide the two and five sixteenth inch diameter hitch ball that will allow you to hook up your trailer's coupler to your tow vehicle so that you can tow your trailer. This hitch ball comes included and pre-torqued and so it's going to have a nice, solid connection.
You're not gonna have to worry about assembling this and this ball mount then provide a six-inch drop for you. So if your trailer coupler sits about six inches below your hitch, this is going to give you that static drop that you need to make sure that your trailer is gonna be nice and level as you tow. This is a solid, one-piece forged steel construction. So it's gonna give us a 20,000 pound gross towing weight which is the weight of the trailer plus the load included and a 2,000 pound tongue weight, which is the downward pressure on your hitch ball. So it's gonna hold up well, give us a great option for towing those heavier loads.
This does have this carbide black powder coat finish that's gonna help provide corrosion resistance to make sure that this is a nice, long lasting ball mount for us. The hitch ball has a chrome plating, which is also going to provide corrosion resistance, so it will hold up well for us. This does have a limited lifetime warranty for the ball mount itself, not including the ball. So it's gonna hold up well. If you have any issues with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us but this is a very sturdy, solid steel ball mount that's gonna be great for your towing.
One thing that's not included with this is going to be your pin and clip that's gonna hold this in your hitch to make sure it's not gonna wiggle its way out or slide out. So this is just a standard five eight inch diameter so you probably already have a hitch pin for your hitch. If not, we do have lots of options available here at etrailer.com. You just need the standard five eight inch pin and clip. We do also have locking pins that will provide a little extra security to make sure that no one's able to come along and take off with your ball mount when you're not around.
So if you are needing that six-inch drop for your trailer, this is gonna do a great job for you. It is a static drop so you're not gonna be able to change that. So if you we're to pull another trailer that had a different kind of drop, it's not gonna necessarily be level. We do have other ball mounts that are adjustable so they will accommodate different height trailers. So if you're gonna be pulling multiple trailers that would probably be the way to go to make sure that you're always able to accommodate that trailer's height. But if you're just gonna be pulling that one trailer and you just need that six-inch drop, this is gonna do a great job for you. So that completes our look for today. Again I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
Nice piece
