When you’re switching between trailers, having the right height is everything. This adjustable 2-ball mount gives you up to a 7-1/4" drop or a 6-1/4" rise so each trailer stays level and stable. The ball platform slides up or down the heavy 5/16" steel channel and locks in place with the included pins and clips, making quick height changes easy without tools.
If you haul heavy gear, this mount is made for it. The solid steel build, welded gusset plate, and CNC-chamfered 3" shank are designed for serious towing jobs. With the 2-5/16" ball, it’s rated for up to 22,000 lbs gross towing weight and up to 12,000 lbs with the 2" ball, backed by a 3,000 lb tongue weight limit. It’s the kind of setup that stays solid under load without bending or flexing.
After miles of rain and salt spray, finishes can start to give out—but this one holds up. The matte black powder coat shields the steel from corrosion while keeping a clean look on your truck. Even the pins and clips are heat-treated steel with a nickel undercoat and zinc topcoat for extra resistance against rust and wear.
Going from one trailer to another doesn’t need to mean changing mounts. This setup comes with both a 2" and a 2-5/16" hitch ball welded onto a single solid platform. Just pull the pins, flip the platform over, reinsert the pins, and you’re ready for the next coupler size—no tools or extra hardware needed.
When the job calls for more than standard towing, this mount can adapt. The adjustable channel works with accessories like a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST), clevis (358CLEVIS), shackle (358EDSA), or hitch step (358STEP). It keeps your setup flexible whether you’re hauling heavy equipment or just need quick access to your bed.

Quality piece
I purchased the 2-1/2" Bulletproof Adj Ball Mount for my 2019 RAM 2500 (Laramie, 4WD, 20" Rims&Tires, Off-Road Suspension) to have 1 mount for various trailers. This replaces various 2" mounts used on my 01 Silverado 2500. This is one serious, substantial piece of equipment! Heavy, good welds, nice powder coating! Pix compares this mount with a 7500# 2" Draw-tite mount. Nothing wrong with the Draw-tite, but no comparison in mass.
Some measurements, if interested: Truck: inside top of Receiver: 25" above grade. Bottom of mount without balls: 9-3/4" above grade (clearance). With 2-5/16" ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 17" above grade. bottom of 2" ball: 9-1/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-7/8" above grade. With 2" Ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 16-1/2" above grade; bottom of 2-5/16" ball: 8-3/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-1/2" above grade.
etrailer shipped quickly, only in original box from Bulletproof, with no exterior shipping box, but box was completely taped, so package arrived in good shape.
1 minor complaint: no pin included for securing mount into receiver.

Hitch mounted in the up position
So far I am extremely happy with this hitch. It is very heavy duty. My towing capacity has changed and needed to upgrade to a heavy duty hitch. I have no doubts this is going to be Bulletproof!! It is very well built and a solid shank.
I need a solution for my BMW SUV to tow my boat and trailer with two ball sizes and very different height requirements. This worked perfectly. The name Bulletproof fits well - I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and engineering.

heavy duty that’s for sure. packaging was excellent and no chance of it getting damaged in transit.Its got some weight to it so that’s good.Powder coating is nice.Its definitely getting the job done.
Rust starting to show and coating has worn off. Rep suggested this drop length and it is definitely too much even with my 2500. Not a product flaw a customer service flaw
The product was delivered as promised and I have had the opportunity to try it. I'm very happy with it. Some reviewers complained about noise, so I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet my connection was especially compared with my previous hitch. I am very confident that will me meet my towing needs!
Not my first time dealing with Etrailer and definitely not my last. Easy ordering and on time every time. Hitch is built very well exactly what we needed to tow our skid steer around. Seems very solid compared to otehrs we looked at.

Easily adjust able
This is a very well made trailer hitch. Made out of quality materials. I would highly recommend it.
Hitch has done everything I have asked of it, My trailer is heavy on the front in the 2k-3k range and the hitch has no issues with it. I would buy another with out question. The pintle hitch adapter is next on the list.
