How's it going, neighbors This is Ed with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at the Andersen eight inch drop and rise, 10,000 pound, two-inch ball mount. Now this guy is really cool because, A, it's made of aluminum, and it has this black anodized finish that's gonna give you extra durability and a nice sharp look. With the greaseless balls, it's less things that you have to do as far as keeping the maintenance up for it while knowing that you're gonna have a quality product. So let's take a closer look and see what's special about it. So our ball mount has a 1500 pound tongue weight and as far as the 2 5/16 side, that's gonna put you right at 12,500 pounds. And then you're gonna be able to flip this guy over to the two-inch, and that's gonna put you right at 10 K.
So depending on your load, you know, you definitely wanna go with the lowest rating between your hitch and the ball mount. But this is super capable for most towing situations that people are gonna run into. Having this eight-inch adjustment where you can rise or drop is gonna allow you to get as close as possible to even so you can get, again, that smoother drive towing experience, 'cause closer to even that you have is gonna just give you more stability as you go down the road. As far as this greaseless design at this pivot points is right here, that pivot, and the smoother that is, translates into a smoother towing experience. And another thing that's really cool about this shank is the fact that it is solid.
So you know, you have a durable chunk of aluminum right here that's gonna hold up, and this angle makes it so much easier to align it to get it into the receiver hole. So this is just set up to make that getting hooked up part of towing just that much easier. Usually when I suggest towing accessories like ball mounts, I usually point towards the quality of the materials. Andersen hitches does a great job of selecting high quality aluminum to make sure it's gonna hold up for the long haul. In general, something like this is just designed to make sure that's one less thing you gotta think about when you're hooking up your trailer to it.
Once you get this guy on the back of your truck, you don't have to think about it again. And speaking of how things are set up on your vehicle, it'd be awesome if you were to share a photo of how you have your vehicle set up, because we would love having that interaction with you. So again, this is Ed with etrailer.com, taking a look at the black anodized two-inch Andersen ball mount. Have a great day.
Well made US product
Great quality and finish!
This product is really different with the all aluminum design. I wanted some
top rated hitch that won't rust up, even though other steel hitches are usually just experiencing surface rust. It has the numbers for towing I need and I don't know how anything could be improved.
Practical hitch, good looking
This hitch is second to none! Great American craftsmanship, fits good, great design. And, as usual e-trailer delivery & customer service is fantastic! Thanks.
