Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this PTC Engine Air Filter. This is a custom fit engine air filter that is going to replace your vehicle's existing filter to help improve its performance. This is a custom fit for several different Subaru year ranges and models that you can see on the screen there, including the Impreza, the Crosstrek, the Ascent, Forester, Outback Wagon, and Legacy, so if you have any of those years of Subaru vehicles, you can trust this is going to be exactly what you need. It does have these embossed paper pleats that help protect your engine from debris and help improve your air flow. This is going to prevent harmful dirt and debris from entering your engine where it could potentially cause damage.
It's also going to help increase the flow of air to your engine to help improve acceleration and mileage. It is recommended that you change your filter about every 12,000 to 18,000 miles or once a year, but that could be a low forecast for you if you live in an environment that has a lot of dust, like if you're on a gravel road or something like that, you might need to change it out more frequently. This is going to install very easily into your engine's air filter housing. You can see it does have the silicone sealing gasket that's going to ensure a nice strong seal between the air filter and air intake box, so no air is gonna be slipping around the sides, it's all gonna be pushed through those paper pleats, so that dirt and dust can get captured before it makes its way to your engine. Now, for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is gonna work for you, this is gonna be an exact replacement for the part numbers that you see on the screen there, so if you're going through your owner's manual or when you pull out your current filter, if you see those numbers anywhere, you can trust this is gonna be exactly what you need to get your engine air filter replaced.
So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
