I'm Matt with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be talking about our PTC custom fit engine air filter in our 2021 Cadillac XT5. Now, this is gonna be something that's really easy to change. You can do it yourself instead of having to go get your oil changed to get this changed too, because all you have to do is just take out a few bolts and slide it right in. And what this is gonna do for you is gonna help save you on a lot of mileage and help improve your performance. Installing it is gonna be pretty easy.
All you have to remove is this cover and take off these bolts. I'm just gonna use a Phillips screwdriver. Just remove 'em and it doesn't take very long at all. And when you're removing this cover, you're just gonna slide it right outta the way until you have access to your old filter. You can pull it right out, just like that.
And with it out, we can compare it to how the new one's gonna look to it. So first off, this is gonna be a little bit more bendable while this is gonna hold its shape a little bit better. And the biggest thing to notice is just the color difference. This is very grayed out, darker looking, while the new one is very clean. And putting it back in is just gonna be a simple process of just matching everything back up to where you got it from originally.
And from this point, you just make sure you put this cap back into place and everything's lined up, and then screw your bolts back in. And that's how easy it is. And that's just a look at our PTC custom fit engine air filter in our 2023 Cadillac XT5.
