Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look together at the lid cover for the Thule Rooftop Cargo boxes size one. Now folks, this is a soft cloth material, if you will. It has an elastic edge, let you slip over the cover or slip the cover over rather in seconds over the top of your Thule roof box. And you're gonna use this while this is in storage.
So again, not when you're driving obviously, and it's just gonna keep dust, scratches, and all those things off of the tool boxes. It's designed for indoor use, great for long-term indoor storage and protection, whether you hoist this up in your garage or put it in the top or a bottom place and somewhere in a compartment or in your tool shed or something like that. This is a great addition. I know with mine personally, I have a smaller box, but I put mine in the top shelf of my outdoor storage shed and this will be a great addition to keep dust and mud daubers and stuff off of it. There is a table that you can see there.
It's compatible with all those different tool boxes. And again, it's a VLI material, so it's easily washable. You can keep your cover and your box clean. And again, it does have elastic banding, so this can stretch out to cover those boxes. Now it does have an integrated pocket here.
So the idea here is that you kind of just fold everything up inside of itself, and I'm probably gonna do this wrong the first time, but basically you can fold this back inside of itself and store it when not in use. So there we go. So whenever you're actually using your box, you can tuck this away, you can throw this back maybe inside of the place where you had your storage box, whether it's a shelf or a shed or something. And then you have this all in a nice small area. And I'm sure you can fold this up way nicer than I did, but I just kind of did it real quick.

This isn’t very thick, but it doesn’t need to be- one review I found suggests it’s paper thin and rips easily, but while thin, it’s pretty tough poly fabric of some kind and doesn’t seem to be prone to ripping. I fitted it to an Audi 310 liter (medium) roof box, which while sold with an Audi logo from dealerships is still a Thule box, and it fits very well despite being made for a slightly taller Thule box. I bought the nearest sizing I could get and am very happy with the fit. Audi sells three boxes- this is the medium. I have no idea how it would fit for the other sizes. There is a tag inside indicating which end is the front. Nothing in the instructions tell you it’s there, but heed it- the fit isn’t great backwards which is how I first installed it before I found the tag. It smelled a little like chemicals, so I did a wash and very low-heat machine dry which didn’t do any damage. The photo isn’t great (it’s stored awkwardly in a spare bedroom) but should show well enough how it fits. This is a very reasonably priced solution to protect the glossy top of the roof box. etrailer had the best price I could find and cheap shipping. I’m very happy- these boxes aren’t cheap and I want to keep it safe. The Thule name on it is a nice touch.
