Video Transcript for Blazer Off-Road Lighting Remote Control Kit Installation - 2023 Polaris RZR

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how we installed this remote light control from Blazer on our 2023 Polaris RZR. It's gonna be a great way to control your lights with this remote and simplify the installation process for running wires on your off-road lighting. Let's check it out. So we have the module box mounted inside the vehicle and we'll check that out in just a second.

Here's a closer look at the remote, though. You'll get a red LED indicator whenever you've got a successful press so you can kind of tell whether it's reading properly or not. And each of the four buttons is going to support a certain amount of amperage. So the top and bottom buttons can support up to 18 amps. So we've got our big light bar wired to that top one and it's perfectly fine.

And then our smaller light bar and our smaller pod lights are on these five amp slots here. Now, even though I said it supports four lights, we technically have six hooked up right now. Our pair of pod lights is wired together, so with one button press, both of them come on, and the same goes in the rear of the vehicle where we have another pair of pod lights. And the remote will work up to a hundred feet away. So if you're maybe out setting up your campsite and you need to flip a light on real quick to help you see, you can, but it also comes with the visor clip here, so if you needed to just clip it up and have it stored in your vehicle, you could do that too.

Now the reason we chose this for installation on our RZR is really just because of the sheer amount of lighting we we inchesre installing and space. Yes, you've got these knockout panels where you could add switches very easily, but it's gonna be a lot of extra wiring. And if you're adding six lights like we did, just a lot of wires to deal with and you've got very limited space to work. So the module and the remote here is gonna simplify that process, because on your RZR there's a cavity in this center section here where we can open the lid and take out this bin. Now when you take the bin out, you'll see you've got a pretty big bundle of wires there.

That's because I left a fair amount of excess wiring to access the module. But first, off in the corner, next to our bus bar there, we've got a negative post and covered up is a positive post. Basically you just need to hook into power and ground for the module, and that's the place we did it on our RZR. And the unit for us is just hook and looped to a flat spot in that cavity there. Here's that power and ground wire that come out of the top of the unit. It is going to be fused, and in the bottom is where all of our lights go to. So these parts right here are for our pod lights, and then these first two here are for our light bars. All you gotta do is run power and negative from the light to power and negative on each slot, and each one will tell you whether it's rated for 18 amps or five amps. Now because of how easy it is to mount up that module, the hardest part of your installation is just gonna be for your lighting because depending on where you mount your lights, you're gonna have to find a safe path to that module box. So generally we found there's a good pass through going underneath this boot for our speaker and just passing the wiring underneath. And there's a pretty large cutout that leads into that cavity where our module box is. So again, depending on where you mount your lights, you might find a different path than we took, but that's one of the main ones that we used for our lights. On the outside of our vehicle, just behind the front shock on the passenger side, there's gonna be a rubber grommet tucked pretty far back there, but you can see this wire loom that's going in there in this gray jacketed wire. Those are to some of our lights. So anything that we mounted outside that wasn't near that spot, like our bumper light bar and our rear pods, we found a safe path up here. And that's the grommet we use to access again, that cavity where the module box is mounted. And if you choose to mount lights elsewhere, then you might find a different path that works better for you. It's kind of a choose your own adventure in that way, but for me, where it simplifies the install is the wiring inside where all that space is so cramped, it's gonna minimize your work there, which for me, makes this an excellent fit on the 2023 Polaris RZR. Thanks for watching. Nailed it.

Just got this installed this morning, hooked up 2 100 watt driving lights and 2 7 inch yellow fog lights. Installation was simple and attaching the wires is very simple. I installed all this on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. The reason for purchase was there is very little to no room to get wiring into the cab so this was a perfect solution to that problem.
Thank you for the prompt shipping and reasonable pricing.

Excellent value. I'd have to see why someone would pay $500 for the brand name rock crawler stuff. This Blazer is perfect for the utility lights. Will install some foggers next. Simple to install, worked immediately and still working after 3k mile round trip to Vermont mountains. Fantastic purchase. Remote rattles annoyingly if not clipped to something. Should be easy fix for your custom install.

Product works great only complaint came with dead batteries

Works great with the three sets of light I installed, (2)5a & (1)18a for my driving and off road lights. Remote works great. A suggestion would be to have lights on the remote that stay on (?) when your lights are on Incase they are on in the day…
