Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this PullRite custom installation kit with the base rails for your fifth wheel trailer hitches. Has a 20,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this kit here is a custom fit kit. It is designed to fit the 2017 to 2022 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty trucks with the 6-3/4 foot length bed and without the OEM prep package. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application.

Now this installation kit will let you mount your fifth wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your truck. The mounting brackets, which are right here on the side, you can see I've attached into the rails just to show you what they look like when they're put together, but these mounting brackets will install beneath your truck bed. And they provide attachment points for these above bed base rails. The base rails here, these are what'll provide the necessary mounting points for your fifth wheel hitch to attach to. Now, the custom fit mounting brackets here on the side, these are mount to your existing holes in your vehicle's frame.

Helps minimize drilling and measuring, helps reduce installation time, and it'll even avoid known obstacles along your truck's frame. Now, one of the best features on these PullRite brackets, these kits, these installation kits, they use these built-in tabs on each mounting bracket on each corner. And what those tabs do is they're right below the slotted bolt hole here. And these tabs will eliminate one of your biggest problems when you install these mounting brackets on a vehicle, which is how to keep the nut here in place when installing these bolts of the mounting brackets. Basically there's hardly, in a lot of your trucks, there's hardly any room to get anything in there to hold the nut in place.

So what they've done is they've put these tabs and let me zoom in a little bit closer to try to show you. It's hard to see being all black, but right here, they have a thinner piece of metal and there's a slot in there and what you do is you bend that metal down, put the nut in the slot, and then bend it back up in place and it'll hold that nut, like if you had a wrench on it. And then when you put your bolt in to tighten it down, all you have to do is tighten it down from the top and that cab is gonna hold that nut in place. It's a really nice feature that they put on there. And again, it's at each corner.

Just to show you what we're talking about, maybe this insert will give you a better idea. There's an underside shot of that bracket. You can see where there's a slot that holds the nut in place. Now, this kit is compatible with PullRite, B&W Patriot, CURT, Demco, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, and even the Reese above bed fifth wheel hitches. The parts are a black powder coat steel construction. They are corrosion resistant. It does include everything shown here on the table, the two base rails. Underneath the base rails, we have these plastic base rail spacers, comes with the custom mounting brackets, all the hardware you need for installation, and a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how this all goes together. These parts are made in the USA. And again, the gross towing weight capacity on this kit is 20,000 pounds.
