Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the MORryde Cord Keeper. This is going to keep your seven-way plug on your 5th wheel camper or your travel trailer, I guess you could use 'em for that too, nice and organized up on top of or on the side of your kingpin. Most of the time we're used to stuffing 'em in the back of our kingpin. I have a 5th wheel, I've done that time and time again. When you're ready to use it, simply unroll it, pull it out, and you can connect it up to your vehicle.
The nice thing I like about it is that it has a strong earth magnet and you have to force off on the backside that allows you, it's on a swivel, you can roll it up as it's sitting on your king pin. You can put it anywhere you like. A lot of people like putting 'em on the side there so that it's down and out of the way. The thing that's nice about it is that because of that strong earth magnet, you're gonna be able to drive with this on the side, you don't have to take it off. You'll find different places where you like to put it.
Again, the places you can put it are endless. Some people have put it back up underneath, then your cord is held up underneath the belly of your kingpin, it's really up to you. Now, as an example, this is where I would say 99% of people will stuff their cord. The problem is I don't like putting my hand up here because there could be, I've had birds nest in my kingpin before. I've seen people that had snakes or squirrels or mice up in there, how they are getting up in there, I have no idea, but needless to say, it's scary having to stick your hand up in there.
So having this cord reel is gonna help you to not only keep your cord more organized and keep it from kinking, but you don't have to store it up in your kingpin anymore. When it's time to put your cord up, there's a slot in here that'll match the image of your seven way. You just push it into place, matching those up, and you roll up your cord. It makes pigtail storage and protection simple
Not sure about this product .. ordered two for gifts but had to keep one because I was able to give as a gift with the way it was delivered. When I installed it on my camper it just kind of worked .. magnet didn't seem strong enough, cord didn't roll up on the prongs very well .. just a very little ok with this mostly over priced product.

Boy oh boy is this magnet strong! We set it down on the floor of the front compartment and it took Herculean strength to pry it free. No way will it ever fall off our Gen Y pin box. Keeps the 7 pin cord neat and tidy, love it.

Fit nice on the bottom of the pin box. I plan to remove it and store in a side access door when traveling.
I like this cord keeper, it’s stores perfectly under my fifth wheel pin box and wraps my power cord quickly and easily. The magnet is very strong and you can drive down the road without it moving. It’s stores your cord perfectly with no tangled mess. Looks professional and worth the money. I highly recommend it. It’s Great!!!

These are AWESOME! LOVE them have one on three trailers, no more electric lines hanging or in the weather, no plugs ruined from dirt or exposure! Would buy more if I had more trailers!
Great device to store power cord from trailer to truck while camping. Attended Grand Design rally in Hot Springs Arkansas and got a catalog listing this device,
I have just purchased my first 5th wheel rv and am getting used to the larger trailer. Using the hitch is so much simpler when I can simply roll the power cord from my rv to my truck onto the cord reel. Normally I have seen others store the cord and brake cable under the king pin which is not the best place and also kinks the cord sometimes. I am extremely pleased with the ease of storing the cord out of harms way.

I love this item and I use it on every hook up and disconnect. It keeps my power cord as well as my break cable cable neatly stored
Very nice cord wrap. Keeps cord handy but still out of the way.
Saw this on Social media and wanted to give it a try. Strong magnet and works as intended.
I liked the idea of wrapping the electric cord around this, but I’ve found that it isn’t really any easier to store the cord on it than just stuffing it into the back of the hitch.
Looks great, hope to get it on RV soon.
Nifty and clever. Keeps pigtail neat and out of the way.

Works great to keep your cord neatly rolled up out of the way however a little pricey.
Great addition to your 5th wheel, easy magnetic install, power cord rolls onto it easily and keeps it off the ground and out of the way, helps to maintain cable and plug and keep from some of the weather, I was always banging my head on the cord going to the wet bay etc and now once I’m parked just roll the chord out of the way and all is good!
