Can a Trailer with 13 inch Rims have 12 inch Rims Installed on It

Question:
I need to replace the tires on my 5 by 8 trailer. The tires ar 13,I found a set that is 12. Can I put them on or are they to small? Thankyou...

As long as the bolt pattern of the rims you are currently looking at is the same as the bolt pattern of your old rims yes, you could go from a 13 inch wheel down to a 12 inch wheel. The overall diameter of the new tires will be a couple inches smaller but that shouldn't be a problem.
