Please offer some advice for this purchase as I will need to make the purchase very soon. Additionally, I am interested in a set of Pewag Chains for a set of 285/70r17. Hello Terry,

I was having a difficult time finding the right chains for the 2025 Lexus UX300h so I reached out to our friends a Pewag (Konig and Pewag are one in the same) the only chains that they have that will work for the Lexus with tire size 225/50r18 are the Konig Easy Fit Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Self Tensioning - 1 Pair # TH04115104.

For the 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser with tire size 285/70r17 the only Pewag Chains are the pewag Wide Base Tire Chains w Cams - Ladder Pattern - Grooved Square Link - Assisted Tension - 1 Set # PWE3231SC. I also recommend grabbing a pair of the # TCMA2 for a nice snug fit.

One last thing, if you are not familiar with these chains and how they go on, I strongly recommend that you do a test fit in the comfort of your garage. It is much easier to learn how to put them on when you are warm and dry than on the side of the road in a blizzard.

I have a 2025 Lexus 300h as well and you are not supposed to use any kinds of chains on this vehicle as it can damage the car. I actually had to sign a document acknowledging this fact. However, I was told I can use low cables. So I am looking for low profle cables for my vehicle.

@LindaF Hello Linda, what is the tire size that you have on your 2025 Lexus 300h? The reason they do not want you using just any kind of chain is due to the clearance behind the tire, they can be very damaging. The ones that I mentioned above, the # TH04115104 are class s compatible, meaning made for passenger vehicles with limited wheel-well clearance, so they are a low profile cable and how they attach differently than your typical chains like # TC2526. As soon as I get your tire size, I will see what we have for you.
