Recommended Snow Plow For A 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited With A Warn Winch

Question:

I have a 2019 Rubicon unlimited JL 2.0L turbo with a Warn winch and am wondering if there is a custom mount and plow available? Polaris works great up to a foot of snow but cant get through some of our drifts despite tire chains. Tried to add pic- said unsuccessful

Hey Drew,

The media uploader tells me that everyday so I can just email you separately for pics. Most likely you'll need the Detail K2 Storm II Elite Snowplow # K2STOR8422ELT and bracket kit # K284219 in order to clear the bumper and winch. These brackets would mount to the outside of the frame rails so you'd want to check to see if your bumper mounts will interfere, but I'm 99% sure they're mounted to the front of the frame rails. I've attached a diagram of the brackets from Detail K2 as well as a picture from a review of someone who installed this on a Wrangler with a winch.

Snow plows can place a ton of weight on the front suspension so I recommend supporting your suspension with some SumoSprings Coil Sumo's # CSS-1094F. These can be easily popped into your coil springs by rubbing a bit of dish detergent into slot for the coils and will help keep the springs from compressing too far down and sagging while the plow is hooked up.

@Drew Got your video and saw that your bumper does mount to the outside of the frame rail too so this style plow isn't going to work. You might be able to install a front mounted hitch like the Curt # C31086 (excludes Rubicon models) and then use a hitch mounted plow but I would check your frame rails to see if the bumper or anything else is going to interfere. I've attached a video link below where Shane will show you the install so you can compare to your JL. Let me know what you find and we can keep troubleshooting fitment if needed.

@KevinC We don't have funds to change winch, however my neighbors can fabricate anything. We'll make a mount that'll work. Thx for taking the time, Drew

@Drew The # C31086 shouldn't interfere with the winch, it's more so the bumper mounts that are the problem. My next recommendation was going to be a universal weld-on hitch with some drop brackets to clear the bumper but that's more a last resort option.
