Can Rhino Rack Kayak Carrier Transport Pelican Catch Mode 110

Question:

I have the Pelican Catch Mode 110. The height is 16.5. Will my kayak fit on this rack? My other rack is a Thule Compass, which my kayak is too tall for. I cannot tighten the straps without bending the wall of my kayak because the tie down on the bottom of the rack is directly underneath the kayak rather than being positioned slightly to the side, allowing for less stress directly on the wall of the kayak. My picture is low quality, but you can see that the arm of the rack does not extend to the full height of my kayak. I want my kayak to fully seat into the j hook.

Part of the problem you are experiencing is that you are using the Thule Compass in the 2 kayak mode which makes the center support vertical and doesn't allow the kayak to lean at all. With a single kayak carrier like the # S510 that you referenced this would not be a problem so this would work great for you.
