Question:

I am going to be renting a u haul trailer and towing it with my 2024 Outback Wagon. I have never towed before with this car. I would love to be able to get everything I need all at once. Can you recommend a list of parts I will need?

You came to the right place!

There are 3 parts I recommend getting so you will be set to tow a trailer from the other guys whose name starts with a "U". First will be the etrailer class 3 hitch # e25TR which is custom fit for your 2024 Outback. The hitch is rated for 3,500 lbs towing which should be plenty for a trailer like you mentioned. I also recommend getting the Curt starter kit # C45534. This will come with everything you need to hitch up your trailer including ball mount, ball and a locking hitch pin.

Lastly you will need the wiring harness # C56040. This will be very easy to install you just plugs in behind a panel in the cargo area. the 4-flat connector will be exactly what you need to work the brake lights on the trailer.
