How to Remove Rear Taillights on a 2012 VW Routan to Install Tow Ready Trailer Wiring # 118490
Question:
I just received part #118490 from you for my 2012 VW Routan. The first step in the instructions is to remove T30 bolts on the tail lights. I couldnt find these on my van. I found some regular bolts though. I removed them and the tail light was then loose, but I couldnt pull it out. How do I get the tail light out?

You removed the correct bolts already, it looks like on your vehicle the bolts where regular hex bolts and not the Torx bolts. The next step is to gently pry the light assemblies rearward away from the vehicle being careful not to break the alignment tabs.
