How Much Solar Is Needed For My 30 Enclosed Cargo Trailer
Question:
Have a 30ft enclosed trailer that I need to put power vent in . Live in Arizona and summer heat gets to 125degrees inside. Would consider solar power and like to have thermostat control. Will be unattended for 6 summer months.

The first thing you're going to need to do to figure out how much solar is needed for your 30' enclosed trailer is let me know what your current power consumption is.
A good rule of thumb is that a 100W solar panel can produce about 30Ah per day, so you can use these parameters to roughly guess how much solar you're going to need.
You can also match your battery capacity in amp hours to your solar output in watts. A 300 amp hour battery would need around 300 watts of solar, for example.
The Go Power Overlander Solar Charging System with Digital Solar Controller # 34282181 is a great choice and will likely be plenty for your application providing 200 Watts of solar power. All you're going to have to do is make sure that your trailer has enough roof space for the panel.
This kit includes 1 solar panel, solar controller, all the MC4 cables and installation hardware needed for installation.
I have attached a FAQ that goes into detail on how you can calculate how much solar you're going to need for you to check out as well.
