There is a need for a vacuum breaker in the shower set-up, this keeps contaminated water from getting into your clean water supply.
However, the vacuum breaker is typically found on the faucet part of the shower like with the Ultra Faucets RV Shower Valve w/ Vacuum Breaker # 277-000024. Not within the shower head or shower hose.
