which trailer hitch would recommend

We have several trailer hitches that are considered a fit for your 2000 Chevrolet Astro Van. For this vehicle I would recommend a Class III trailer hitch to allow for greater diversity for hitch mounted accessories.
The Curt # C13035 that you referenced is a great option, and is more economical for the Class III options. This hitch is rated for towing up to 4000 pounds and up to 400 pounds of tongue weight. Please note that if you have a full size spare tire this may interfere with the hitch when installed on your Astro, and a full size spare tire may need to be carried else ware on/in your vehicle. This is indicated on the product page photos, and for the photos that we currently have with this hitch installed on a vehicle similar to yours, a temporary use spare tire is shown.
If you need a higher towing capacity and tongue weight you might consider the Draw-Tite # 75122. This hitch is rated for towing up to 3000 pounds and 3,500 pounds of tongue weight. When installed, this hitch will accommodate a full size spare tire. Please check out the video of the installation that I have included.
Depending on your needs for a trailer hitch for your 2000 Chevy Astro, if you will be towing a trailer I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. I also recommend the Curt # C56175 wiring harness to install a 4-way on your Astro. This wiring harness features a circuit protector, and will need to be hard wired into your vehicle wiring harness behind your vehicle taillights.
If you are going to be using the trailer hitch for hitch mounted accessories please choose appropriate accessories, and cargo carried with the accessories that do not exceed the tongue weight of your hitch.
Please check your owners manual and check the towing capacity of your vehicle, and make sure that when using your hitch that you do not exceed the weight limit of the lowest rated component of your towing set up.
I have included links to the parts referenced above. the installation instructions when available, several videos, and a few helpful articles for your reference.
