Question:

What alternative RV roof A/Cs are compatible replacements? Coleman Mach 8s are now hard to find and ridiculously expensive... Thank you...

The Furrion Chill Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup part # FR82PV for 13,500 BTU or part # FR42PV for 15,000 BTU will be an excellent replacement for the Coleman Mach 8 RV Air Conditioner. This is a plug-in-play kit so all you'll be doing is replacing the overhead unit therefore allowing you to use your existing distribution box and thermostat.

I currently have a 48203-069 Coleman mash 3 that is controlled by my firefly. If I get a furrion chill he and utilize your harness leaving the Coleman control box in place then everything should work as expected, correct? Could you please provide all the parts I would need.

@Michael the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup # FR82PV would be everything you need for a plug and play replacement. However, we no longer recommend going this route. There have been too many compatibility issues to say it will work for sure. Instead, we recommend a complete replacement like # FR35TD. This is also a new R32 system, which everything has switched to, so you don't have to worry about parts in the future if something were to break.

@RobinH I spoke to a rep yesterday and confirmed that the coleman harness with the R410a unit would work 100% with my existing coleman mach 3 13500 which is controlled by my firefly. He did not indicate any compatibility issues. He even put a note on my account. Could you please confirm.

@Michael you can certainly try it, there are customers who have had success with this and that was a common recommendation until recently. However, I cannot 100% confirm it will be compatible.
