Question:
Received my new system and swapped it out with DVD1000. The front display does not light up nor can I a DVD. I disconnected for a reset but no change. And suggestions?

If the display on your Drive RV Stereo # 324-000148 isn't lighting up then it's not receiving power. I recommend first testing the power coming to your stereo with a multimeter like # PT89ZR and ensuring that you're receiving 12v DC.
If you're not getting 12v then check your power source and the wiring to ensure you don't have any kinks or breaks in the wires and that your stereo has a proper ground.
Next I would check the fuse located on the back of the stereo, right under the wiring harness plug-in.
With the black prong of your multimeter placed on a good ground you can use the red prong to test both sides of the fuse to ensure it's still functional. If you get an "OL" or less than 12v reading you'll know the fuse is bad.
