Recommended Bike Rack For Carrying 2 Road Bikes On A BMW X2

Question:
I am wanting to purchase a bike rack for my BMW X 2. The two hitch racks I am interested in are: Thule Apex XT 2 bike and Curt Tray Style hitch mount 2 bike. The bikes I will be using the racks for transport, are Road Bikes only. What recommendations can you give. Thank you for your assistance.

When it comes to a bike rack for your BMW I would for sure go for the Thule Apex XT # TH9024XT. It is a 2 bike hanging rack. Which has the tilt-away feature which is really nice to help load and unload your bikes. It can hold up to 37.5 pounds per bike, and there is a 7 inch spacing between bikes, so they won't be bumping against each other during travel. The carrier weighs 35 pounds and it has built-in cable locks to secure your bikes to the rack.
