Length of Cables on NOCO Boost Pro Jump Starter For Reaching Dual Batteries
Question:
I have a 2019 Chevy 2500 6.6L Diesel with two 12V batteries. I see a lot of questions about whether this device will work on this size of diesel engine and I see a lot of answers that say yes. But I would like to know how it works when there are two batteries which this size of diesel engines will have. The truck manual states that you jump start the truck using the remote positive terminal on the main battery passenger side and the remote negative terminal on the auxiliary battery driver side. It does not appear that the clamps on this device will reach both batteries. Therefore, how does this device work in this situation?

That's an interesting question, and you would need to reach both battery terminals on your 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500 in order to use the NOCO Boost Pro Jump Starter # 329-GB150.
I assume you were asking about a possible alternative method, but there isn't one; the # 329-GB150 has to reach both terminals. You mentioned the clamps do not appear they will reach both batteries, so I reached out to NOCO to find the length, and what they said was that both cables were 24 inches long (so end-to-end they were 48 inches).
The base unit itself (without the cables, just the base unit), is also 5 inches wide for a total of 53 inches across. However, when taking into account the cables are at a slight angle coming out of the base instead of jutting straight out, you're going to lose some of that distance. So just to be on the safe side, the terminals should probably be no further apart than about 48 inches to use the NOCO Boost Pro Jump Starter # 329-GB150.
