Question:
The dealer who sold me my camper cant answer my questions, about any aspect of my trailer, ever: I have a 2022 mini lite 2205s and I was told it was set up for a rear camera. The dealer cant tell me what set up means or what camera system and accessories I need. any recommendation for a wireless rear camera system that includes live monitoring/viewing while driving and is compatible with a GMC 2021 sierra 1500 SLT crew cab short bed v8 with factory trailering package and prograde trailering system? If you need more information from me please ask. Thank you for your help.

Your 2022 Mini Lite 2205S is setup for a Furrion Vision S backup camera system like part # FOS05TASF. This system mounts right up to the mounting bracket at the back of your trailer.
The only issue with this setup is that the Furrion Vision S camera systems need more power than what the newer GM pickups, like your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500, can provide. Because of this we have 2 options for where to head; we can use the Furrion Vision S system and splice in some wiring like the Tekonsha # 119250KIT so that the light circuits that power the cameras are compatible (you'll connect the wiring from the OEM wiring on your pickup back to the correct pins on the 7-Way) or we can go with a different camera setup altogether.
The Vision S system is a great camera system that a LOT of people really like so if you're willing to splice into the OEM wiring on your truck I say go for it. If you'd rather avoid doing that then I recommend using the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kit # RVS-770613-213. This is a wired camera system that will take a bit longer to install, but the advantage of using a wired system is that it's easier to troubleshoot if anything ends up messing up. The quick connect kit also makes it easier to connect and disconnect to your trailer. The only real downside is that the OEM mounting bracket doesn't match up with the mounting bracket for this camera.
