What Causes a Trailer Connector To Get Stuck Inside a Socket

Question:
My curt echo is stuck in the pluginch at the back of the car and wont come out. I dont know if maybe the plastic melted or something but I dont want to force it and pull too hard..any ideas?

The most likely cause of a trailers connector getting stuck inside the socket is attributed to corrosion on the pins. If you can, remove the trailer connector from the vehicle so you can have more room to work. You can use a lubricant if you wipe it out after but force will be the best thing for this. I recommend applying dielectric grease part # 11755 moving forward to prevent this.
