Recommended Roof Rack for Drywall and Lumber on 2019 Chevy Tahoe  

Question:

Thank you Jason for getting back to me so quickly…if I added this up correctly is the total $$$.00 + tax?? I had also noticed other racks that had heavier capacity is this the heaviest capacity rack that will go on my Tahoe…165lb. capacity seems pretty limiting when your talking about the materials I want to put on it?? Finally how difficult is it to install?? Thanks for all your guidance in advance,

For your 2019 Tahoe, I recommend the Yakima system consisting of:

Yakima HD Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 60" Long # Y01157
SkyLine Towers # Y53TR
HD Bar SL Adapters # Y03541
Landing Pad 17 # Y00243
I also recommend adding locks # Y07204

This system will give you strong crossbars with tie down points integrated as well as a load capacity of 165 lbs. It will work well for your drywall, plywood, and loads of lumber within that weight capacity.

There is one option with a higher rated capacity of 220 lbs. It is the Rhino-Rack roof rack consisting of the following: -Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 59" Long - Qty 2 # RRVA150B-2 or Silver #RRVA150S-2 -RCH Legs for Rhino-Rack Crossbars and Pioneer Platforms # RRRCH4 -Custom RCP Fit Kit # RRRCP43-BK This is a great option for you and the highest capacity rating of all the options for your Tahoe. I've linked the page to all your options to give you the comparisons with some racks being held to a capacity of 140 lbs.
