Will Tire Chains From 265/70R17 Tires Also Fit 285/70R17 Tires

Will a snow chain 265/70/17 fit a tire 285/70/17 ?

A 265/70R17 and 285/70R17 tire differs enough that the same size snow chains can't be used on both units. Just for reference a 285/70R17 tire is a little more than 1 inch taller and just under an inch wider than the smaller 265/70R17 tire.

For your 285/70R17 size tire I really like the Titan Chain # TC2327 because it features easy-to-use integrated tensioners and colors-coded components that allow for a really simple installation. These chains are also Class S rated, which means they don't take up a lot of room and work perfectly on trucks that have limited wheel well clearance available. The diamond-pattern square links provide excellent traction in the snow or ice.
