Wiring boat trailer light left side New taillight wiring different color from mine, has a yellow, brown , white ground. Coming from trailer a black, white/red combo, and a white ground what is correct connection?

On your new left side tail light assembly the yellow wire is likely for left turn/stop lights and the brown wire is for running lights. You have already identified the white wire as ground.
Then on the trailer side it appears that you have some non-standard wire colors so I'm not able to confidently identify them. Because of this the best option is just going to be to test them for function, either by applying 12V power to each wire directly to see what lights they activate, or by testing them individually with a circuit tester like # PTW2979 when hooked up to your tow vehicle.
Once you verify the functions of the black and white/red wires on the trailer you will be able to connect them to the appropriate wires on the light assembly.
